Silent but not deadly I needed a blender to puree food for my picky eater 7 year old who love smoothies but has a hard time swallowing solids. This blender has not lived up to my expectation. It is quieter than any other blender that I have owned and I like the large capacity jar. I will keep this blender but only as a back up as I search for a replacement jar for my leaky Kitchenaid.
