I purchased this toaster oven to replace a similar toaster oven (same model, different color) that had stopped baking recently. I had the original one for 4 years and it got a lot of daily use. The first one had an oddity, every once in a while it would buzz and we would have to unplug it and replug it to get it to stop. It was the toaster signal going wacky. When the bake setting died we saw a little trail of smoke come out of the vents and smelled a bit of burnt plastic smell. The other settings, including toast, worked fine but besides the fact that we used the bake setting almost every day, I wanted to replace because it made me nervous that something was going on with it that might cause a fire or something. I really like the design of this toaster oven. It's got a good amount of room inside yet is not overly big on the outside. We had a small counter area that it must fit in and it fits perfectly. I also like the fact that you use the bake setting without a timer. Many toaster ovens require you to turn a timer button on to get the unit to go on in the bake mode, this one, just put the dial on bake and it's on. I can set my own timer and not have to futz around with the stupid timer, which often are hard to set accurately so you have to overset it and then set a separate timer anyway. My previous model had a stainless steel body with black trim, this model is a matte black with a kind of painted silvery color trim (it is not stainless steel or chrome). I think my previous model was more attractive, but this one is fine and the matte black body stays much cleaner than the stainless steel one. The painted handle has a little scratch on it, but it's barely noticeable. This model's toast signal does not seem to work. My dh says that he heard it faintly the first time he used it, but I've never heard it. I do miss that as it's nice to have an audio clue that the toast is done, but it's not a big deal. I figure that at least the signal won't be going off when it's not supposed to with this one (I hope!) The crumb tray is easy to clean, I just take it out and brush the crumbs off most of the time and wash it when something burns onto it. It's got some kind of non-stick surface on it, so cleans easily. I use the tray, often with a piece of foil on top, to bake a lot and it's good, but I have never used the little broil rack thing that sits inside it. The wire rack has two slots for height and is also designed in such a way that if you reverse it you change it's height, so in essence you get 4 height positions. The bake setting goes up to 500 F. I'm happy with it and just hope this one lasts longer than the first one.
The toaster/oven was well packed, but found it to be a refurbished item. It has a dent in it somewhere and everytime the unit is heated it expands and makes a very loud pop (banging) sound that will scare you everytime. I like all the features on this unit that I did not have on my other toaster/oven. I could do without the popping noise.
I'm very pleased with this toaster oven. It heats up quick, and when toasting, you can set the dial between light, medium, and dark. The oven looks nice, and is pretty compact (doesn't take up much counter space.) The included broiling pan comes in handy also.
USE IT MORE THAN MY CONVENTIONAL OVER AND MICROWAVE. LOVE IT1111

I bought this several years ago and it's still plugging along. I rarely use my full size over any more. I broil, cook roasts, roast vegetables, "toast" some frozen products - it just does it all. Looks small, but a 10" pie pan fits. Reduce the normal temperature you'd use in a larger over by 25 - 50 degrees (depends on size, etc.). Also makes toast! Imagine that!
Cuisinart and Overstock.com come together to give a great toaster oven deal. While I've only used this thing 4 times, it's easy to use, doesn't feel cheap, and is designed for easy cleanup. I'm not dissappointed and thankful I didn't get a more expensive model, for this one suites my needs just fine!
With only two people in the house, it feels silly to fire up the stove (and subsequently heat the whole house) for such small portions. This counter-top oven cures it all. Pizzas, bacon, garlic toast, brats... you name it, I've cooked it in this oven. It has a very easy clean up, a 3 minute heat up time and easy to use instructions. I can't say enough... I'm very happy with this.
Nice looking and does an excellent job baking cookies, egg rolls, heating crab cakes and makes good toast.. It lacks the feature of the door opening and pulling out the tray.
I didn't check the dimensions before I bought it and it is pretty boxy -- taller and deeper than most toaster ovens I've owned...Also, one of the knobs arrived broken, so I chose to fix it myself (for the short term) and call Cuisinart for a replacement knob. Cuisinart was very helpful, and is sending a new set of knobs free of charge. The toaster oven was sold to me as "refurbished." All in all, it is a good oven and once I get the new knobs, I'll have no complaints.
We had a Cuisinart toaster that lasted a good 6 years. It went through countless meals for us and then eventually our children. We used that thing till it died. We will never go back to another brand ever... Cuisinart makes toast the way it sould be... crunchy on the outside nd not toasted through. No crumbly toast. This model was slightly different than our last because the finish was not chrome, but rather looked like a freshly paved road, not as sleek, but still looks good in our kitchen. Watch out! The medium is more like dark toast...
I got this as a replacement for the EuroPro toaster that broke after less than 1 year of use. So far this looks great, works better and I'd recommend to all.
The oven looks great, toasts fairly quickly and evenly. The only issue is that the toaster rack has to be pulled out manually, I had expected the rack to be pulled out partially when you open the door like other ovens.
looks great, works fine. Wish the shelves pulled out when I opened the door.
Love not having to heat up the oven in the HOT climate where I live so bought this wonderful toaster oven. It looks great, warms up quickly, and performs amazingly well.
Toaster oven was in great shape for being a refurbished item; looked brand new. Toasts very evenly. Although maybe it toasts a bit on the slow side, but I guess that's the trade-off for evenly toasted bread. Only negative comment I have is that in contrast to my last toaster oven from Black & Decker, the toaster rack does not partially slide out when you open the oven door. I have come close to burning my hand on the inside top of the oven while trying to get my toast out. A set of wooden thongs would probably solve the problem.
A great little toaster oven..Very well made and quickly shipped.
I love my toaster oven. I have not tried baking yet, but it is a nice size to cook a small chicken.
the picture seems like the toaster oven will be streamlined and compact -- it's bulky, heavy, and the door sticks which makes me feel like i'm wrestling with it every morning i make toast. the toaster works fine though. so my gripe is more aesthetic than anything else but why does anyone want to wake up to an eyesore in your kitchen? i got a discounted price since mine was refurbished so that's ok but don't buy it full price!!
Wonderful for your own use or a gift. Great for making small meals, frozen dinners, toast. Heats upi quickly, easy to clean, does not heat up the whole kitchen! So easy for people who live alone!
Very nicely presented in a zippered see-through bag which would be ideal for storage, this sweater is nicely made and IS cashmere, not 5% cashmere as with many offered on the web. The cream color looks rich and will match everything. It knit itself is a little thin, otherwise I'd have rated it 5 stars in each category. It was a Christmas present and my daughter liked it very much..
