Although assembly was time consuming (a couple of the holes weren't pre-drilled and I definitely recommend a drill for all of the screws), it was worth it for the price and the finished product. Not all of the edges match exactly, but the overall piece looks great. The drawers are perfect for remotes, game controllers and media storage.

Extremely happy with this coffee table! I was a little hesitant about buying this piece because of some of the comments about assembly. I bought it anyway, and I am VERY happy with this beautiful coffee table. As far as assembly, TAKE your Time, go slow and it fits together perfectly. I did it all myself, with just the tools they recommended and a cordless drill. By myself , it did take about the 3 hours suggested. There is nothing like putting together a beautiful piece of furniture and proving the men all wrong. My fiance' can't wait to see it when he returns. It comes is two large boxes, very securely packaged. Lay everything thing out and Take Your Time. Its worth every dime, and an extremely good value for your money. I would definitely recommend this piece to anyone. It looks so good in my living room, and the color is a nice cherry walnut and matches my armoire perfectly, a nice unexpected bonus! I will change the handles for something more ornate, and that will work well with the quality of the piece, but the handles that come with it, are nice and durable. Bottom line, this is worth the money and time. I am so happy with this purchase!

I would recommend this table to all. Easy to assemble if you read the instructions. Top is not sealed, therefore you will need to use coasters.

This table is well crafted and sturdy. Like others have said it is a hassle to put together, but well worth the time and effort. I have been looking for a coffee table for a long time until I found this one. I love that this one has drawers on both sides and the dark color of the wood fits well with my living room.

The coffee table arrived on time as promised. The instructions appeared to be clear (after considerable re-reading) but the identification of components was confusing. After considerable time studying illustrations it went together quite well. An electric screwdrivewr is a must. The table had two imperfections. First, a small (but quite noticable) scratch on the top and there was a crack in the wood grain near the ege which was doctored pretty well with wood putty. All in all, despite the comments above we found the table to be stylish, solid in construction and very usable.

I was a little wary of buying this table as quite a number of reviewers commented on some difficulties with assembly and/or unclear instructions. I guess, I got lucky. The item was delivered in perfect condition albeit not as fast as in some other cases (took about 2.5 weeks). There were, indeed, some discrepancies in the instructions between the drawings and the text but those appeared to be more like typos, ans a small dose of common sense easily resolved those. Not only have I (a 60 years old woman) put it together without any help, I did not even use any power tools. My ratchet screwdriver did most of the assembly just fine. I love the results even though I wouldn't mind having this item in a slightly lighter finish. My only regret is that this line of furniture does not include a TV stand. Thank you, Overstock!

Like many others, I was a bit skeptical about buying furniture online without the benefit of seeing it in person first. Due to the high number of extremely positive reviews, I decided to go for it and I am very glad I did. I purchased the end table, sofa table and coffee table and they arrived (5 boxes!) well packed and in great condition. This furniture is gorgeous (the color is darker in person, a good thing), well made, sturdy and very easy to assemble. Only took about an hour and a half for each piece (by myself). The instructions are easy to follow, especially if you¿ve ever bought RTA furniture in the past. If you are considering any of the Creighton pieces, I highly recommend them.

I had been looking for quite some time for a coffee table that would be "just perfect" & after looking at hundreds, I was about to give up when I saw this one. I was hesitant about the fact that it required assembly (my fiance & I are not "handy" at all & we always buy assembled items for this very reason.) It was SO NOT THAT DIFFICULT for the two of us to put together-it only took about 2 hours or so & when we were done-I COULD NOT BELIEVE that it was something we "put together"-thats how good it looked!! Everytime I walk by it I think about how much I love it! I like the fact that its wider than most other coffee tables & it has two full surface areas to put things on not to mention the four drawers (for the things you dont want out all the time!) its perfect! It does NOT look like a home assembled piece at all & more importantly, all of the drawers slide in & out smoothly-very functionable. OVERALL I give it a 10 & would definitely recommend it to anyone no matter how "unhandy" you may think you are-any two people can do this if we could-trust me!

This table went together easily and looks great. Seams and drawers were impressive. I love the coffee table and the end table. Would not recommend children banging their toys on it, but all in all a great table. Would recommend.

This is a great table with 4 drawers and 1 shelf which provides tons of great storage. It is heavy and appears to be very good quality. Too many parts came with it, which is better than too few. Also would be easier to put together with two people. I put together myself and had some problems, but it all worked out in the end. It's a beautiful table.

I am in love with this table!! It arrived quickly and was packaged securely. It took about 5 hours to put together - with the help of a friend. The instructions are not very detailed and the diagrams are small and hard to read. Having an electric screwdriver does help a little, but is not necessary. Once finished, the table looks beautiful and weighs about 80lb!! I am very satisfied this this piece of furniture and would not hesitate to purchase another from this collection.

I was very pleased with this purchase. It was a great value and it is a very nice piece. I had been looking for a coffee table for at least a year and this one is perfect. It was not difficult to put together, but it took about two hours. However, it was well worth the wait.

I love this table. Once put together it is very sturdy and is a beautiful addition to the decor in my family room. The assembly took some time but was straight forward and fairly easy to follow. Some holes were not pre-drilled and there were two errors when referencing what pieces to put together during the assembly but not so bad that you wouldn't realize it was the wrong piece. One important caution - DO NOT insert a wooden dowel where it does not call for one. It is VERY DIFFICULT to remove. They fall apart when pulled with pliers.

This is a great piece of furniture that I feel has gotten poor reviews because of people's incompetence in assembly. To start let me address some of the issues in other reviews. First, the product is heavy but the last time I checked good furniture was not light. Second, there are quite a few parts in assembly but everything is labeled and if you organize parts before you start it is very simple. The directions are a little vague in one section but if you look at the diagram it is rather easy to figure out. Additionally, it will not take you all day to build it took me an episode of Monk and half an episode of Psych to finish and that was with a non-electric screwdriver. As a guide if you got a C or higher in high school shop class it will take you less than two hours to build. Now about the product... This is a great piece of furniture, especially for the price. First, if you like how the coffee table looks in the picture you will not be disappointed. Also, the color in the picture is very consistent with what you will get in person, which was one of my concerns before buying. Finally, I shopped all over the place for a coffee table and I found nothing for the price that compared to the quality and look of this piece. As a side note if you buy both the end table and coffee table put the end table together first and the assembly of the coffee table will be very simple. Hope this helps.

This was a project to put together, but well worth it for the money saved. This is an extremely attractive and useful piece of furniture -- the drawers help keep your room looking neat and they function well. They still slide open and close as smooth as glass. The only issue, if it is an issue, is that the table is very heavy. If you need to move it out of the way be prepared to work hard at that. But the heaviness is the price you pay for the quality of the item. I paid a lot more for a coffee table years ago, that was made of oak and ended up warping. Buy this table.

The coffee table is exactly what I was looking for. Very simple and functional, and looks great in my living room. It was a little bit taller than I was expecting, but I actually like it all the more because of that. You can fit quite a lot of stuff into the four drawers, which helps to keep my living room looking clutter-free. All in all, very pleased.

We got this table a few years back and it's held up very well. It has more of a cherry/walnut finish than the picture (which looks espresso). It looks more expensive than it is.

The table is very nice, the product matched exactly what was portrait on the website and i received my boxes without damages eventhouh UPS delivered it to a 5th floor walkup..... The putting together of the table does require 2 people as some of the pieces are just big or heavy....so invite a friend over for a coffee and table assembling time...... After all, i'm happy with it, it has tons of storage (4 drawers) which is what i need to keep the living room organized..... The only negative i have is i didn't realize how heavy the table was since i have to move it every night to allow for the sofa bed pull out.....but it's doable nonetheless.... Good buy, you'll be happy....

I've been looking for quite a while for a coffee table that was practical, stylish and modern without being made of glass and metal. I had fallen in love with a table at ******* **** but just couldn't justify spending that much on a table. As soon as I saw this, I knew it was the right one. It's solid- over 100lbs in shipping weight - and beautifully made. The drawers move smoothly and it's great to be able to access drawers on both sides of the table. My husband spent nearly 2 hours putting it all together so it needs time but isn't a weekend project:) Can't recommend this highly enough.
