I ordered this table to use a s a console in a second floor hallway. It is well constructed out of actual WOOD (very uncommon for modern furniture), the price was great and it fits the modern decor of the home very well. The color is very nice too, not too dark, and definately shows the charecter of the wood.

I am going to write a quick review because of how heavily I rely on reviews before I make an online purchase! We purchased this table back in 2008 and it has lived up to every expectation we had! The quality has stood the test of time (and TWO moves!), the finish is still beautiful and the roomy drawers still glide smoothly. For a time this table held our large screen TV without a scratch or sagging. I have come back to Overstock to try and find more furniture made of asian rubberwood because of how pretty it looks, and how well it's held up. I highly recommend this console table and I hope this review helps you!

I finished assembling this about 30 minutes ago, and I wanted to point out two specific errors in the instructions, both in step four: * The dowels to be inserted into the upper-right part [in the drawing] of DIVISION (E) are incorrect. This will be obvious by the fact that they'll go into a hole for the cam bolt. Ignore the instructions and use your common sense: if it's got a space for a cam bolt, a dowel doesn't go there. It is unfortunate that the dowel holes and the cam-bolt holes are the same size: as the night wore on, I mistakenly put dowels in cam-bolt holes with alarming frequency. * They have you fasten the BOTTOM RAIL (G) upside-down. This is clear from the seemingly impossible instructions to use the Chipboard Screw (4) to fasten the bottom rail to the divisions (E). It will become even clearer in the next step when you attempt to fasten FRONT RAIL (F) and the dowels don't match. Turn the bottom rail upside-down, fasten to the divisions using the dowels and the Chipboard Screws (there isn't a pilot hole for them), and you'll be good to go. Everything else in the instructions is correct. I didn't have any issues with the hole designations for the drawer slides, as another reviewer remarked. The pictures are somewhat small; pay close attention to how they denote orientation by illustrating various holes and marks, and you'll get things in the right place. A cordless screwdriver is recommended, especially for the daunting number of cam bolts in step one. You will need a stubby screwdriver or hex wrench to get at some of the cams once you've fastened FIXED SHELF (D). All in all, a very nice looking piece. It took me 3.5 hours to assemble, and I'm a bit of a slow worker.

The console is extremely well-made but was a bit difficult to put together! After struggling for an hour, we've come to the conclusion that one of the diagrams was backwards. Once we finally figured out what to do, we got it put together. It's well-finished, heavy, solid, and nicely constructed. You just have to struggle with putting it together!

this is some pretty intense composite! took me more time then I thought it would to put together by myself but it's sturdy! it gave me blisters on my hands screwing everything together. it's also got a great look when it's assembled! i'm very happy i bought this piece. only had it for a few months but so far very happy.

This piece is beautiful, with great lines and terrific craftsmanship. Looks so much more expensive than it is. Love it! Need some experience with drawer slides for easy assembly.

This product would have gotten an overall 5 stars for quality except for the poorly written assembly directions. It was a daunting task to see all the pieces required in this assembly with all the tiny pieces of hardware. And after the about a four hour assembly process, we had a beautiful piece of furniture sitting in our living room. But please be warned: the directions are terrible! They are also almost completely in pictures which were (a) too small and (b) WRONG a couple of times (like where the dowels go, etc.). Thank goodness, we were able to use logic to figure out the correct orientation and location of the screws and dowels after a few tries to get it correctly assembled. Because the directions were so unclear, I had to unassemble and re-assemble several times to get it together correctly.You'd think that Creighton would spend just a little more time on the directions because the final result is excellent. Just be warned.

This table is simply stunning. As pointed out in previous reviews, the instructions are flawed in two places, but if you are thoughtful when assembling, you will immediately know that. Two of us put it together, and it didn't take long. I imagine it will be more of a chore if you are working alone, as this piece is very heavy. It looks marvelous in our guest room, where we use it as a tv stand at the end of the bed (we have the matching bed & nightstand as well).

We love our new console table. It is very sturdy, and looks great! The only negative was the assembly directions, they were vague and hard to follow.

I would like to break this down for things I was looking for in reviews I read before I purchased this table: Color = dark brown. Would not say there is a lot of red (cherry) in the color. It will not match any espresso furniture ¿ it is defiantly a brown Assembly ¿ took me 2 hours. Shipment comes in two large boxes. My advice would be to fully read and understand the directions before you start to assemble. Also the instructions have you add hardware to the pieces in steps ¿ I think you could save a ton of time if you installed all the necessary hardware in each piece as your assembling so you don¿t need to go back to add. Value ¿ this is a very strong piece of furniture. Once it is all put together, it will last for a very long time. You could dance on this table ¿ very hard wood that is very well constructed once put together. Over all it¿s a great piece that is very good looking. I did replace the hardware handles to give it a more rustic look. Shipment was fast and you can¿t beat the shipping price! I would highly recommend this piece to a friend.

I had to hire someone to help me assemble this console. It took us 2 1/2 hrs. and the instructions had some snags in them, as others have also reported. I wish I could recommend this wonderful, and very patient, handyman, who helped me this afternoon since he now knows how to assemble it and could put it together for others in a jiffy! I have a condo and furnished it with expensive, modern, European, furniture. I just could not find anything that complimented the furnishings I had already gotten and I was very happy to find this very attractive console on Overstock.com. and at such a great price! I can recommend this console to anyone. It is very well made and looks like a quality piece of furniture. I plan to place a flat screen TV on it and a component, or two, on the shelf. Having three drawers to put things away in (such as DVDs, etc.) to keep things tidy, is just ideal for me. Great product!

This is nice piece, but don't underestimate the work to put it together. It took me about two and half hours of steady work and the construction design is substandard with respect to the drawer slides. There is no bearing or roller slide mechanism for the drawers - it's a simple wood drawer sliding into a wood glide that has been screwed onto another frame piece. If the screws are not installed very straight on the drawer glides (not a particularly easy task), the drawer will snag on the exposed screw as it slides in. With much of the construction in the piece held together by screws, I also wonder how long the piece will stay together tightly. All that said, I like the piece, the finish is nice and the wood is durable and attractive.

Like many others, I was a bit skeptical about buying furniture online without the benefit of seeing it in person first. Due to the high number of extremely positive reviews, I decided to go for it and I am very glad I did. I purchased the end table, sofa table and coffee table and they arrived (5 boxes!) well packed and in great condition. This furniture is gorgeous (the color is darker in person, a good thing), well made, sturdy and very easy to assemble. Only took about an hour and a half for each piece (by myself). The instructions are easy to follow, especially if you¿ve ever bought RTA furniture in the past. If you are considering any of the Creighton pieces, I highly recommend them.

One very important part of the table did not come with pre-drilled holes for the screws to go into and securing the top and bottom part of this table therefore not been able to assemble it according to the instructions and still sitting in the diningroom floor where my brother-in-law will try to set it up to the best of his abilities.

the console is even nicer looking in person. It looks very expensive. Have made numerous compilments. I have it paired w/a very expensive mirror. Putting it together was a little tough. There are many pieces and you need 2 people to assemble. but otherwise would definitely suggest this piece to others.

This product looks great in my place. The drawers don't line up perfectly and the instructions were tough at times, but the finished product looks excellent.

I would recommend this table to all. Easy to assemble if you read the directions. Only problem we found is the top is not sealed, must use coasters.

The product came in better than expected. That is, I expected the product to be entirely made of particle-boards. Instead, the two tops are both solid wood; only the drawers are made of particle boards. Also, the person I chat on live-chat line was very courteous, and all questions were answered professionally. Most of all, the delivery was almost free ($1.00, special price at that time), and product came very quickly within 5 working days.
