Creek Classics Bombe Chest

It was picture perfect, but not so much in person. I was really excited when I found this chest online; the shape and size was great, but the actual color was silver, absolutely no gold tones. I still liked it and considered keeping it, but it was extremely damaged in delivery which had me look closely at the quality of workmanship, definitely not top notch. The legs were scuffed up and on the front of the drawers the seams of the silver leafing was poorly applied and very obvious, the top and the sides where blended better. Perhaps if the damage was not so bad, I would have overlooked the scuffs and workmanship, then fixed the coloring myself. I was so disappointed that I am returning it and not going to get another. I have mixed emotions and I still really like it, so if ever goes on sale for 50% off, I'd consider giving it a second chance.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? the description say silver and gold with the gold being the stronger shimmer in the picture when you zoom in, but there was absoletly no gold. it was completely silver. i don't know if sliver only was an option and they sent the wrong item, but what i received was definitely not what was pictured. you could see the square placement of the sliver leafing.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. the quality was not that great. the wood seemed worn on the legs and edges.
