I own a staging company and am always looking for exciting inexpensive pieces. After reading the reviews I was looking forward to receive this piece. The first thing I noticed was a dime-sized grease mark on a corner of the seat cushion,. I wasn't too concerned as I thought it would be hidden during assembly. Next I had no instructions, but again wasn't too concerned since I have experience putting together furniture. Then I noticed one part of the hardware packgage had been opened then taped over. I said uh oh, I must have gotten the dreaded "return from another customer". Assembly was a little difficult, I needed my 2 young daughters to help me, and the grease stain did not get covered up. I probably would have returned it at this point but the stain cleaned OK and I needed it for a job. It definintely is a cute piece, I woluld most likely try another one. I think this makes a good occasional piece, has a very nice look, but don't think it would be good for regular use.

I was very pleased with the quality of this settee. The finish and workmanship were better than I expected. My only negative comment is that the color is not what I was expecting based on the picture on the website. It is more of a light peachy tan than the cream indicated. It will work well in the foyer with pillows added for additional color!

I was so excited to receive this piece. After unwrapping it I discovered the color is beige/taupe/almond (I wanted cream per the description). Also, the wood is not espresso/black it's a dark brown. I also was not happy w/ the look & feel of the material (kind of a polyester/microfiber). I think if the color would have arrived as described I would have kept the settee.

This settee looks good but too poorly built for seating. I won't recommend that two people sit at the same time because it may break.

The settee is meant for small areas and good enough for the price. Fits neatly in my small apartment. I got what I expected. However, the screws on the legs needs to be tightened sometimes.

Of course the cushions keep falling through the sides - the arms are open! The piece is slightly lighter in finish than pictured (more walnut than espresso), and the upholstery a slightly darker cream than lighter cream. Very easy to assemble, a great value. I've had this settee since february, and it's my main piece of furniture in my tiny city apartment, but it's great! Sure, your butt will fall asleep after a couple hours, but nothing moving about can't cure! A great value, and beautiful look!

Easy to assemble. nice finish. Beautiful design - easy on the eyes. Fits well without crowding the space. Poor padding. seat sank after 3 months of use - I weigh only 155 lbs. May be that is where they cut corners to sell it cheap. Poor functionality, wide gap on the sides - cushions keep on falling on the floor.

The product is just as pictured. The other reviews were correct. The cream is a little darker and the wood is a little lighter but it was a perfect fit for my house.

I couldn't take my eyes off the picture of this settee and once it arrived I was very pleased. It was easy to put together, I was able to assemble it on my own. The color of the upholstery is definitely more cream than white and the wood is a dark brown. The upholstery on the back of the oval has a slight bump in it, as if the padding underneath wasn't laid out smoothly. I'm hoping I can steam it a bit more flat, disappointing but not enough for me to want to return it. My husband likes the look of it but he's a bit nervous to sit on it. It does look a little fragile, even though it states it can hold up to 400 lbs. I think the position of the back legs makes it feel a little delicate when you sit on it. This is a piece of furniture in my house that won't get a lot of use - is in my formal living room - so I'm not concerned about it's sturdiness. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy use.

I actually saw a similar looking settee by a high-end furniture house with a price of thousands of dollars - not within my budget. This oval back settee is an exact replica of that high-end piece, right down to the exact measurements. Obviously, the wood and fabric are of lower quality.The settee arrived within a week of the order and was easy to assemble. Once assembled, I noticed a dark, nickel-sized stain on the lower left side of the back upholstery. The fabric on the right arm is "puckered" and the seat is hard. I decided to keep it anyway. I love the look. I will send it out to be refinished and reupholstered in the fabric of my choice. Yes, it will cost some money, but I will then have my custom, high-end settee at a fraction of the high-end price.

This piece of furniture makes a statement, it has a nice curb appeal.

This settee is just the perfect piece. It is simple to assemble as well. It looks like the picture (the cream color is a little darker than the ivory I thought it was) but I couldn't be happier. I am using it in place of chairs at a dining area and lends itself well to a simple but elegant statement.

This piece is as nice in person as the picture shows. The quality is very good for the price. It was not hard to put together and is fairly well made. Very good value.

This looks very nice, and for the cost, is a great value.We didn't have any issues putting it together and it looks very nice once assembled. A very modern look.We recommend this item.

I purchased this settee for a real estate home staging project and it really makes the apartment shine. It's elegant and just the right size for apartment living rooms or bedrooms.It's also much more comfortable than it looks.The upholstery is solidly but roughly sewn together which is made OK by the price.Putting it together required 2 people, with one person having to squeeze the pieces together forcefully while the other inserted the bolts. It only took us 20 minutes, though. Make sure follow the instructions even if you think you know what you're doing. Bolts must be left slightly loose until the whole piece is together, then tightenned.Overall, I really love this settee.

The Settee was a very appealing piece of furniture. The mechanical attachments, i.e., bolts and threaded receivers were a disappointment. Two of four arm attachment points slipped in the socket and could not be thghteened. One of four leg attachments was cross-threaded and would not thghten. All in all I would purchase the item again as I have many tools to fix the flaws.

I have already purchased 2 other settees from Overstock for our cafe which work perfectly, but this piece is too low for table height. My mistake. We will use it in the entry. Still a good value. Has a modern-european look.

I love this piece. It was very easy to assemble, though I was missing one bolt, but it was very easy to replace. It looks like a million bucks. The seat is a little stiff, but I'm sure it will soften in time.
