I ordered these night stands for our tiny bedroom in our mountain cabin. My husband assembled them one day when I was at work. As soon as I saw them I knew they would not fit in the space for which they were ordered. ENDS UP THE WIDTH AND DEPTH DIMENSIONS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE ARE REVERSED! The nightstands are not 17.5" wide, they are 17.5" deep! Luckily we had been using small nightstands in our home, so we moved the old nightstands to the cabin and now have very nice, new nightstands in out master bedroom at home.
The nightstand was delivered promptly and was in excellent shape after the shipping. I ordered two and they were easy to assemble and looked even better than the photo. They are sturdy and attractive and will undoubtedly serve us for years to come. Thank you once again Overstock.
These are really nice, I ordered two and was very pleased. I put them both together in under 1 1/2 hours (and I'm not that skilled at these things). If you don't have things just in place, you can't get the screws to line up which is actually a good thing because once together they are solid, no gaps, and very sturdy. I had my 8 year old help me. The instructions were simple to follow. Just tighten everything down and if things dont seem to fit, check all your screws. This is an attractive, sturdy piece. I do think its a little wider than advertised (because the flat top extends about an inch on each side over the legs). It was larger than I expected but still a perfect fit on each side in a pretty small bedroom space. I got these to match an American Signature Urban Design collection bed (the matching nightstands were too wide) and the wood match is pretty perfect. Despite being pretty small, the drawer space seems huge (very deep)and they have a very solid appearance.One thing, I did need a drill (I have a low-powered battery operated one that worked just fine) to screw on the back piece and the bottom sliders (there are no pre-drilled holes).
The nightstand looks great for the room I needed it for (trying to complement existing furniture), but the assembly was difficult. There were two holes missing that should have been pre-drilled for screws. Therefore, it took a lot of time, some creativity and a trip to the hardware store for parts to get it together. My father helped me put the table together and it took him several hours. The finished product looks very nice and is of good quality, but the assembly was more that I expected.
