  • Nice looking tables

    We ordered the nightstand because of its nice clean lines and its height. We planned on using it as an end table for our family room. The piece itself is lovely and a nice quality, my only complaint is that the back of the piece is not finished wood, it is stained plywood. Just something to be aware of as it forced us to change our furniture arrangement.

  • Loved these nightstands!

    I was pleasantly surprised by these nightstands. I ordered two for a guest room. They are very attractive and look much more expensive than the price would indicate. The styling was just about perfect for my taste. They were not too contemporary and yet not too traditional. The color was a very deep, almost black brown. The finish was nice and smooth. They did require assembly and I was surprised at first by the number of parts, but soon realized that the manufacturer has thought ahead and provided many extra fasteners. The assembly was fairly simple. Another nice feature is the drawer mechanism - The drawer slides very easily and smoothly. I liked the appearance and quality of these stands so much that I have ordered the chest of drawers that match. I would definitely recommend these pieces.

    Although a very good product, the price seems a little high; based on quality and having to assemble at home. The metal inter-locking pieces are not very sturdy, but fortunately there were extra pieces.

  • Great wood nightstand!

    I have 2 other nightstands in my master bedroom by Coventry that I purchased from O.co about 2 years ago. Those nightstands have 3 drawers each and this one I purchased last week is for the guest bedroom, and it has only one drawer. This one only took about 40 minutes to assemble, but having a cordless drill/screwdriver helps tremendously! Keep in mind that I am a single 36 year old female, so you should have no trouble assembling it. I like the Coventry line because of the dark color and the quality of wood - very sturdy pieces. I have the ones in my master bedroom next to a highend bed and you would never know that these nighstands were so inexpensive - great quality. The nickle drawer pulls are nice too; very modern looking. It arrived within a few days of ordering it and with free shipping. I have lots of pieces from O.co and I'm rarely dissappointed with their merchandise.

  • Very Solid...Expensive Looking

    These are WAY more solid looking then pictures can show. Very heavy duty and awesome quality! They look very pricey in person. The pictures do not give them justice. My only complaint is despite there is not much to them they come in MANY MANY pieces. Only took 45 minutes to build, but I thought it would be less...

  • Piece of crap

    This is the worst piece of assemble-yourself furniture I have ever put together, and I have assembled quite a few. Wood is cheap & cracks easily. Drawer sliders do not have corresponding screw holes making good alignment almost impossible. Finally, the sliders seem to be designed not to function -- I could not fit the drawer in once assembled no matter what I did. I am very surprised anyone else was able to.

According to Wikipedia "Rubberwood is wood from the Pará rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis). Rubberwood has been produced on a small scale, but has become much more common. There are extensive plantations with these trees in southeast Asia; the earlier practice was to just burn the tree at the end of its latex-producing cycle. Rubberwood is advertised as an "environmentally friendly" wood, as it makes use of plantation trees that have already served a useful function. Rubberwood has very little shrinkage making it one of the more stable construction materials available for furniture, toys and kitchen accessories. It is not suitable for outdoor usage."
