These drapes are certainly NOT white - more of a light linen shade, which fortunately worked in my space. Had I seen them in a store I would not have purchased them - but ultimately, they look great in my room. I wouldn't call them 'blackout", but more room-darkening. If you are looking for a WHITE curtain, this is not it, but if you can use an off-white this may work.Read More
They are not as white as shown in picture. I have linen end chairs and they looked closer to that. Off white. If you want pure white, not these. I used the tabs to hang. Pleated nicely. Hang nice, puddled on carpet. I bought 50x108, 6 panels for 3 windows. Look very nice, will add sheers under them tomorrow to finish the look. I like them, make my dining room look elegant. I did iron them with steam.Read More
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and appearance of these panels. They fell softly and were heavy enough to look much more expensive. I wasn't expecting them to be so nice. The color is not white-white, but a more soft grey white. Actually it is very nice. I would definitely recommend these panels.Read More
These curtains are even better than I expected. Like other reviewers said, the color is cream not bright white, which is exactly what I was looking for. They match my linen chairs perfectly and the quality is fantastic. The bottom of the curtain is weighted, so it lays nice and straight. I would definitely recommend these to a friend and I will be purchasing more for other rooms!Read More
These curtains added a soft texture to my room. They block out light as promised and are super-high quality. Make sure you have a heavy-duty rod because they carry a lot of weight. Would totally recommend!Read More
Nice heavy curtain but not too bulky, just right. Has subtle small pattern close up. Not noticeable from afar. Color is more of an antique white. Looks nice on a thick pole with clips. I sold my home and the new homeowner wanted the curtains to stay. When these curtains are back in stock, I will be ordering them again for my new home.Read More
Great quality and great price! After spending months looking for the right product for the right price I found it!Read More
Love these curtains. Nice fabric, blocks light, nice and long.Read More
I really like the color and texture of these curtains. The color is more of a linen color and not a true white which is what I was looking for since my moldings are ivory. However, I ordered 4 panels and the 2 that I opened had a couple small snags on them before even removing them entirely from the packaging. I didn't even bother checking the other two packages as I felt like this was an indicator of quality. Some may be able to overlook the small snags but I am a perfectionist and figured they may not hold up over time so I returned them. Too bad as they were perfect for my space.Read More
1. As other reviewers have mentioned, these are not white. They are a lovely off white that was exactly perfect for my room. 2. Other reviewers complained that these are not "blackout" curtains. They seem like they are to me. The backing is just heavy enough to block light without looking stiff or ruining the elegant drape of the fabric. 3. Yes, these have a textured weave. If you zoom in on the product image you can see it. Love it!!! 4. As pictured. Hanging in my room, they look just like the picture to me!! 5. Summary. "Value" drapes that look higher-end than the price would indicate. Very satisfied!!Read More

How to Install Blackout Curtains
Blackout curtains can keep a room cool and dark even when it's bright and sunny outside. A completely dark room is a wonderful thing if you have a job that requires you to work all night or even if you just want a dark room for watching a movie when it's light outside. In addition, blackout window treatments help you conserve energy by keeping heat in and cold out or vice versa. You have two choices when it comes to installing blackout curtains: You can buy curtains that come with blackout liners already sewn in, or you can add panels of blackout fabric to the curtains you already own.
How to Hang a Valance and Curtains
Hanging a valance and curtains over your window will add dimension, texture and style to any room. Window curtains with a valance give your window treatments a finished, designer look. If you want to block out light, a valance and full-length blackout panel curtain is your best choice. If you are more interested in decoration and only need to block minimal light, then a valance over sheer curtains is a good choice. It's important to measure the window and decide what type of curtains you want before you buy the curtain hardware. A cafe rod will be sufficient to support a sheer curtain, but you will need a stronger curtain rod to support heavier fabrics such as blackout panels. Also, the larger the window, the sturdier the curtain rod will need to be.
How to Create a Bishop's Sleeve Window Treatment
A bishop's sleeve window treatment is a single curtain panel that has been tied in several places to make it look like the billowing sleeve seen on formal bishop's sleeve blouses, which is fuller at the top and gathered at the end. A bishop's sleeve window treatment looks best in formal living rooms or dining rooms and can be done easily using curtains you already have. You can create this look yourself in a matter of minutes.
How to Adjust Tension Rods
Curtains are a great way to accent the decor in every room in the house. Tension rods, also called spring rods, are curtain hardware which allow you to hang window curtains, wall curtains or shower curtains without installing curtain rod hardware on the walls. If an existing tension rod slips or if you want to change the curtain panels or add curtain rings, you may need to remove and adjust the rod before putting it back in place. Tension rods are positioned between two facing surfaces, such as the interior frame of a window or the opposing sides of a shower cubicle.
How to Decorate in Country Decor
The warm, inviting feeling of country home decor makes it an enduring design trend. Some people favor the more rustic side of country decor, integrating wooden furniture with distressed surfaces and flea market finds. The French country look has a more subdued effect, combining faded cornflower blue, sage green, mustard or antique white with black accents. Whatever style of country home decor you prefer, take a look at the following tips for some inspiring decor ideas.
How to Hang Drapery Hooks
When you need to quickly hang hemmed drapes or curtains, drapery hooks are an effective and easy-to-use option. The basic style of this curtain hardware staple is a single wire folded against itself; one end has a sharp prong and the other end is bent into a curved hook. In fact, these hooks, also known as drapery pins, almost look like large fishing hooks. Variations of this type of curtain hardware include additional prongs, angled hooks and blunt tips. All drapery pins and hooks work the same way, and the technique is fairly easy to master. If you're looking for a simple window treatment project, these hooks are the ideal drapery hardware because you can successfully hang drapes and curtains with them without a lot of time, hassle or tools.
