Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight and maintain at least two feet between furniture and heat sources. Aniline and Protected leathers are especially sensitive to direct sunlight. Use a professional cleaner to help resist staining and prevent overall soiling. For oil based stains, use a professional degreaser.

Nice Chair
I bought 4 of these chairs for a smaller living area. Color is to true to the screen. Assembly was just the legs so it only took my husband 5 minutes. They are a smaller scale chair but I expected that. Leather is very tight with nice seems. Overall good chair. Arrived in 4 days of ordering.

Wish the seat cushion as softer
The chair quality and workmanship is very good, with exception of the comfort. The seat cushion isn't plush. I was hoping the seat would sink down when sat upon. Otherwise, the feel of the leather is nice. Overall value is very good. I'd recommend to a friend if they needed a smaller sized leather chair and were okay with less than plush seat cushion.

Excellent Purchase
Having purchased smaller pieces of furniture from Overstock, I took the plunge with this armchair. I am quite pleased with it in many ways The size is perfect. Many other reviews describe it as being small. While not an enormous piece, it is a very nice size and quite comfortable. The color is really rich, more on the brown side of cognac than the red side. The quality of the leather has the appearance of a much more expensive chair. A word on assembly: you will need a very long phillips screwdriver in order to reach through the length of the feet of the chair. Other than that, it takes just a couple minutes to have it all together. If I had the need for another, I would not hesitate to order another of these wonderful chairs!

Cosmopolitan Cognac Leather Arm Chair
This Cosmopolitan Cognac Leather Arm Chair is the second one we ordered from Overstock.com. -- we were so pleased with the first one, we HAD to have a second one. This chair is of excellent quality; is comfortable; is just the right size (not too deep so that a short person can sit comfortably); and fulfills all promises. The leather looks great; the color is beautiful -- and true to the photo on the Overstock site. The delivery was great -- arriving exactly when promised and in perfect condition. We love it -- and so do our friends (who say we were lucky to have found such a great chair on line).

This is a great chair
I purchased this chair based on the good reviews it had, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is a small chair, but it is perfect for a small room. The seat is plenty deep for long legs and the arms are just the right height. The color turned out to be exactly like the picture, warm cognac. Very nice! As far as the material is concerned, I would never have guessed it is leather, it certainly does not feel or smell like other leather furniture we own, but I don't care. The chair sits in the guest room, looks great and is very comfortable. And for the price you certainly can't go wrong. I recommend this chair without reservations. As far as screwing on the legs is concerned, it took me 4 minutes to attach 4 legs. Just make certain you have a long phillips screwdriver and look at the picture on-line before you start. The thick legs go in the front, the thin legs go in the back. As usual, overstock's order processing was lightning fast - the chair arrived 4 days after I ordered it.

Good looking chair - not comfy (and kind of cold)
I love the look of this chair. It was exactly what I hoped for in style. The function - not so much. I bought this chair to replace my "everyday chair" - one that I sit in every evening. I was so excited when it arrived. It was easy to assemble and as soon as my husband installed the feet, I quickly sat down to a loud thump. It reminded me of Goldilocks and Pappa's chair. This is one of the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat on! The chair has absolutely no "give." It feels like a chair that would be in a doctor's office or lobby - a place where they don't want you hanging around very long. My only hope is that over time, it softens up. If you're just looking for a chair to complete the look and feel of a room and the chair will not be used often, this may work. It is a good looking chair. Do not buy this chair if you plan to sit in it long and watch TV or read a book. Also, I know I live in the frozen tundra, but I am always surprised by how cold to the touch this chair is when I first sit down. I have not experienced this with other leather furniture.

Really like this chair!!!
This is the second one of these that I bought. The first one I bought was the first larger ticket item that I bought from Overstock, and I was a bit nervous about buying furniture based soley on a picture and other people's reviews, but when it came it was exactly what I expected. the color is a rich dark reddish burgundy (when I think of "cognac", I think more in the deep golden brown hues - but then again I don't drink cognac. This chair is as close to being the color pictured as you can get. Compare it to the red chair for contrast). it is not a soft, cushy, sink into the seat kind of a chair. It is pretty firm and I don't expect it to soften up that much with wear- it isn't designed to be that kind fo chair. But it is comfortable nonetheless. I am 5'1" and the seat depth is comfortable for me, with room to spare for someone taller, but for a six footer it might feel a bit compact. The seat is wide enough for me to curl my feet up to read a good book to. Overall I am very pleased. ( note price of this chair fluctuates, and it goes in and out of stock regularly, but the first chair I bought was over a year ago, so it seems that they have fairly regular access to stock)

smaller chair
I could not keep this chair because it is a smaller scale than my sofa. I have learned to measure, measurre, measure. Otherwise I love the color and material, the construction was great and it was light enought to move easily!

Great value
Received chair today and am very happy with purchase. It's the real deal as far as leather is concerned and very well made. Thanks to other reviews I knew the larger legs go in front and putting them on was very easy. Very comfortable. It is a smaller chair in comparison to the very oversized bulky ones out there but a normal size for even tall people. It is firm right now but still very comfortable.The color of the cognac is very rich and warm. It is solidly made and I could not find any flaws. Once again VERY happy with purchase.
