    I almost didn't buy this stool because the photo makes it look as though the two bottom rungs are just flat steel cross braces to climb on. ...bought it anyway and it turns out that bottom two are really small, flat steps that you can comfortably stand on if you didn't want to go up to the top. So it turns out that the step stool fills the bill.

    good height for shorter person like me-5'2". makes reaching near ceiling easy. I did find that the steps were not as sturdy as I was used to. they seemed a little flexible so care must be taken going up and down them.
