Perfect for our needs
We have a hectic family--2 kids who are hyperactive, 3 cats, a dog, a guinea pig. It's nice to have good quality, simple, hardy plateware that can stand the test of time. I grew up with Corelle and never had any chip or break as a kid. Corelle products have always been the least to crack or break in our household--even if it's dropped accidentally. However, when these do drop and shatter, the pieces just seem less jagged and easy to ShopVac up. We always seemed to get all kinds of somewhat dated Corelle patterned plates from my parents; I always thought, wow, you can microwave them, throw them in the dishwasher, but they're just so old fashioned looking! It's just so nice to be able to buy Corelle in plain white so there's no worry about mismatching, and be able use them with our other leftover crockery sets with pieces that have cracked or broken. And if you have a bunch of people over, they're affordable enough to buy to use for everyone without resorting to paper or plastic plates. I bought one set and ended up buying another. May never go back to other plateware, at least until the kids go off to college...

I have four small children. I ordered these after reading the indestructible reviews :). When I received them, I was just happy to not wash and lug my heavy Pfaltzgraff back and forth between meals and the dishwasher. I am thrilled! In a small kitchen these dishes are so elegant and the picture understates their elegance. I have open cabinets and the bright white looks so clean and uncluttered to the eye. A brightly, colored plate of food looks beautiful on the white. The lightness of weight now allows my children to set the table much easier as welll as help with cleanup without fearing them dropping a heavier plate.

Corelle winter frost white dinnerware
clean white, crisp looking dinnerware. stacks easily in limited space. good sizes. small plate is an appetizer plate not really the size of a salad plate, but I knew that when I purchased. Good coffee cup too.

CUPS ARE MADE IN CHINA
I am returning this item because the website and the box said "Made in the USA" and the cups are stoneware with raised letters on the bottom that say "Made in China". The plates are Vitrelle and they are mad in the USA. Customer Service was very nice about it and is sending me a return label, the only thing is now I have to drag the heavy box (2 sets) to the UPS store

attractive dishware
Dishware arrived intact since it was packaged very well. I was under the impression that this dishware was not breakable but that is not true. The cups are easy to hold and can take a nice size drink. The bowls are slightly small but adequate. Overall this set is fine but very thin in their profile and if you are looking for a hefty look on your shelves this is not the set for you.
