Item comes with air pump (electric) which is very powerful and quiet. The headboard inflated easily and quickly and looked great. Installation consists of three double-sided strips of hook-and-loop tape. I used the tape in addition to using 3M plastic hooks. The hooks attached to the wall with easy release (pull) tape and are not sharp so no danger of puncturing the vinyl. The hooks just provide additional support by hooking under the corduroy cover. Once installed (a breeze) this headboard looks like something from one of those TV makeovers. I have had it up for several weeks with no problems - no leaking, no falling, etc. Fabulous purchase!

The quality of this product was such a complete surprise.... it is awesome! It made a room from blah...to wow! You really can't tell that it is an "inflatable" headboard...but, who cares...it is so comfy, that I switched out our master bedroom headboard ( cost about $900) for this one! Unbelievable. It has not lost any "air" at all for the last 2 months! The one and only negative thing is the "velco strips" provided... they do not work very well. We actually just used the "velcro opening" spaces, and hung the headboard with a nails. Most clever product I've ever seen...I'm buying 3 more for kids at college.. and for our extra room!

Even though it looked great when inflated, I was very unhappy about having to come home every night to it being deflated. My boyfriend would have to inflate it EVERY day. It does come with a repair kit, but come on...after the first day of owning it it had to be inflated. Too bad because it looks great.

I wish It was a bit firmer but if is inflatable so I am not sure its a realistic expectation to have. I was never really capable to inflate it to the max allowed. it may be tricky and I have not r\tried hard enought either. It is good for children to toss and turn since it safe and soft so you can be sure they will not bang their heads. Also easily to move around and take it with you .I wish it came with a hook or something to help it stay in place.

We bought this for our basement guest bedroom which has one cement wall behind bed ,sticky velcro wont stick,keeps falling off of wall,then you have to blow this up every week to keep it nice and firm.!!! More trouble then it is worth,pass on this one.

This would be great for staging or a spare bedroom. When it was up, it didn't look bad, but it didn't hold air for very long. Maybe we had a leak, who knows.

i would say the product is just OK. it has nothing fancy and just the right surface. it is the right product for the price.

This is my first purchase of an inflatable headboard and I LOVE it! Am using it in a spare bedroom. The pump is worth the purchase. May actually buy another one for our son's bedroom.

After reading other reviews on this product I was afraid that I would have to keep inflating the headboard, but I have had it for several weeks now and not once have I had to. I love the corduroy texture. Its an affordable price and at a great value. I love how it looks like an expensive headboard but its really comfortable to lean against.

This was as described - a means to attach tot the wall and an air pump was included. The idea is great, but this item just wouldn't hold air. And the corduroy, nice color and weight - but just happy to be a fuzz magnet. It's in a closet now but might soon be deployed as a dog bed, or, be on it's way to Goodwill.

This is a great product! I had been looking for a headboard for the bed in our spare room to "stage" our home before selling it. The wall above the bed had looked so bare, but I didn't want to make a cheesy homemade one I had seen on HGTV and I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a piece of furniture we don't even use! Then we'd have to move it with us. This inflatable headboard was the perfect solution - and it looks great! My husband couldn't believe the price on such a nice fabric. It really made the wall above the bed become a nice focal point. I've had it a month and it haven't had to mess with it. I haven't used the velcro - it's behind the mattress and the bed it pushed up against it. We didn't want to leave marks on the walls with the velcro for the new homeowners. Thanks Overstock for such a wonderful product at a phenomenal price!

Initially I was a bit hesitant about ordering the corduroy, but the fabric turned out to be very rich and complemented my chocolate curtains perfectly. I opted not to mount it to the wall because the height was a bit towering, so I manipulated the mattress to receive the head board behind it. The only issue I seem to be having is the air has to be replaced every few days. The cover is easily removable for cleaning.

THIS HEADBOARD IS EVERYTHING THEY SAY IT IS. I AM SO HAPPY WITH IT BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND ALOT, BUT I NEEDED SOMETHING TO PUT BEHIND MY ELECTRIC ADJUSTABLE BED IN OUR SPARE ROOM. IT LOOKS GOOD, WORKS GOOD, AND SOLVES A PROBLEM VERY EASILY.

My son has sloped ceilings in his room so finding a headboard that fits has been difficult. This product is the perfect interem solution. It is simple, easy to set-up and a great value. The pump alone is well worth the $. I use it for other inflatables!

This seemed like a novel idea, but I was pleasantly surprised at how it looks. Just follow the simple instructions carefully ( especially the air intake) and it can be up in five minutes. The materials appear to be good quality and durable. I'm satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone.

After reading the other reviewers and their problems, I made some modifications. My son built a wooden headboard frame and we attached the inflatable headboard to it--this allowed a clean smooth surface with which to attach the inflatable. There was a shelf at bed level to rest the headboard on instead of the bed itself. We also attached double-face tape near the top of the inflatable to give it more stability and a no-gap look. So far it looks and works great.

I was holding my breath when I bought this headboard because I was afraid it would not hold air. It's been about a month now, and it still is nice and tight. It looks good -- just like the picture. I'm not sure if we did something wrong, but we had to add some bigger and stronger velcro to hang it. At any rate, we are very pleased with this good-looking headboard.
