The bed is quite simple to assemble and is very well packed to avoid scratches or dents. The only comment I have is that the center slat that includes the two center foot supports rquires a very odd attachment methodology (if you follow the directions). After some "activity" on the bed, however, the central support literally turned sideways and there was no longer central support. I then placed a screw in every slat from the top down (not the bottom up in only a few slats which was the recommendation in the instructions). This has worked nicely. Please note--if you do not own a power drill you will not be able to put this bed together. The slates do not have pre-drilled holes and you just need ot use a drill with a Phillps head to dower the screws into the slates. I am quite well versed with tools and thus had no problem wth an alternate assembly method. I could not be happier with this bed which fits so nicely into my minimalist environment.Read More
Another product with not quality control by manufacturer. The finish on headboard is mar with folds and lumps from manufacturing. Every single slat provided were cracked and splintered on one entire side (got lots of splints in my hands from this) where manufacturer drilled screw holes. I am waiting for replacement parts but it is very frustrating to begin assembly and then have to stop part way due to cracked or poorly aligned pieces, while you wait for replacement parts to finish assembly.Read More
I'd recommend it to a friend only if I also include the warnings. Assembly is not something just anyone can put together. The bed doesn't have pre-made holes for the slats, so you have to measure it out and drill holes (though the screws are the type that can cut into wood without holes, you HAVE to drill holes with this bed or else the wood will likely crack). The "legs" that support the center slat on the bottom had a bolt sticking out of them to screw them into the slat, but the slat itself did NOT have a "nut" in it - just a hole that the legs fit VERY loosely into, so I had to find one of those bolts to put into the center slat. After everything was done, the bed did not look one bit sturdy - the center slat I positioned on the lower end of the bed to catch the "ledge" at the bottom portion, that way it has something to support it on the bottom end, but the top end had nothing. there are 2 "legs" in the middle to support the center slat, but the top has no support so if you were to... I don't know... stand at the head of the bed, there's a good chance damage might be done, so I added another leg there. The legs are starting to bend and I'm afraid of them breaking, I'll have to figure out some sort of a support system in there - perhaps connect all three legs by attaching a long plank between all of them, we'll see. For now it does the job. Overall, the bed looks great, but not something I would consider "good quality". But even with all these flaws, I'm very happy with the *** price tag for a KING SIZED BED! So yes, I'd recommend it to a friend, but I'd warn him about all these things.Read More
This bed was very affordable and looks nice. Also, we were able to put it together easily. While we haven't had any problems with it I don't anticipate that it will last very long. However, because of the price I don't mind.Read More
looks nice but it was hard to square up when putting it together. the amount of supports in the bed was more than enough. It is as comfortable as with box springs. once we put it together we were pleased. would buy it again. It goes with everything else in out bedroom.Read More
I hate to leave bad reviews, but in my opinion this bed is one step above crap. I ordered and received this bed last October, and it is now February. The bed creeks. This drives me nuts. A brand new piece of furniture should not do this. I'm actually going to take the bed apart and reassemble it to try to fix this. We'll see. The center support board that runs from the foot to the head has two support stands that make contact to the ground. One of these support stands ripped out of the slat. The anchor itself ripped out when I shifted/slid the bed on a wood floor. The bed slats are very cheap wood slats. I'm actually considering going to Home Depot and replacing them all, when I reassemble the bed itself. OK, that's the bad.... The bed itself, looks great. It really does. The finish is great. The frame itself, I feel, is solid construction; the head, foot, and side rails are great.... if it weren't for the creaking! The "guts" of the bed are not so great. It's fairly easy and straight forward to set up, using the directions that come with the bed. In the end.... I think I got what I paid for. A nice looking bed, that was made to look good and perhaps be best suited for a guest bedroom.Read More
