Before using this pillow I had only used standard pillows that didn't provide any neck support, so the first few days of use felt strange but comfortable. I have since adapted and enjoy the support tremendously. I am primarily a back and sometimes side sleeper, and this pillow is comfortable for either position.As other users have mentioned, there is an odor (not unpleasant, but noticeable) that requires the pillow to be aired out for a while.Pricewise - this is my first contour pillow so I can't really compare it to other contour pillows, but I have seen many that are half the price.
I purchased this pillow to replace another contoured memory foam pillow that I'd had for about 8 years. I tried many different types of memory foam pillows before settling on the Cool Comfort pillow, and I'm happy to say my search is over. This is a very firm pillow, and if you're not used to sleeping on memory foam, it can take a little while to get used to it. Even for me, after sleeping on a memory foam pillow for years, it took a night or two to adjust. It gives excellent support, and I have been sleeping very comfortably since using the Cool Comfort pillow. I haven't noticed that the pillow seems to keep cooler than any other pillow I have used, but I didn't buy it for that factor, so it doesn't bother me at all.

I was slightly disappointed with the pillows, only because they don't stay as cool as the IsoCool matress pad. Overall, I think they help and would buy them again, they just aren't quite as good as I hoped.
