This workware is a total waste of money. I would have been better off going to the dollar store and buying pots and pans. No matter what you do everything sticks and burns in this workware. The very first day I used the small sauce pan the lid shattered into hundreds of tiny pieces. I have never seen anything like it in my life and would never recommend this product to family or friends.

Used the fry pan and it is great. Have not used the casserole or the 1 qt. sauce pan and hope they work as well as the fry pan. The 3 qt. sauce pan was used to heat water to make noodles. After putting the pan on the induction cooktop, I noticed a puddle of water forming on the cooktop under the pan. I found the water to be leaking out of the pan through the handle connection to the pan. The handle is connected to the pan using "squeeze-type" or "pressure-fit" rivets. That is a rivet made of a metal soft enough that by applying enough pressure to each end after it is installed forms a pressure seal/fit. Pressure apparently had the day off when they made mine. Also with the 3 qt. pan, even when full of water, my induction cooktop sometimes goes from on to error, as when the cooktop is on, but a pan is not on the cooktop. I don't know if the pan is too light to form a good connection, or if, maybe, water was between the pan and cooktop or if it is due to the design of the pan. Like I said, the fry pan works great (now that I think about it, I've never done a fill to the handle using the fry pan-????). I just wanted to point out these issues to anyone else who may be thinking of buying this product.

Bought this for my daughter for her Birthday which is in her early 20's as she needed pot & pans . This was the first good set that she has ever had. She doesn't do dishes very well but they do clean up good and still look good. The shipping was fast and they looked good when they arrived . Was really hoping to get me some but a bigger set as I like cast iron for skillets am still looking for me a bigger set of these. I would recommend these to any young adult start out for a good starter set . I even bought additional pot so she would have enough pots . She fries lots in these and makes lots of spaghetti sauce in the pots..

This was the set I wanted for many years. It is my Christmas present to myself and I couldn't wait to start using it. It has all the size pots and pans that I use on a daily basis and even a few that I need for larger events. I cook lots and really appreciate the quality and especially the handles that don't heat up! I'm not constantly grabbing a potholder now, it's that one short cut that speeds things up just a bit, but really shows when you're trying to get a meal together with meats, veggies, sauces and all the littles extras = wonderful meals that my family appreciates, yummy! NOTE: cooking on a gas range you MUST lower the heat to medium very quickly to not burn things on the sides of the pots - that's the only drawback I have found so far.

The sauce pans are very shallow which was disapointting. The quality of the pans is great, but I doubt I will be able to make any larger meals with them. Should be fine for a single person, but would not be recemendened for someone cooking for more than two.

nice thick grips on the pans, love the orange color. The pans are a breeze to clean after cooking anything even caramel! Dishwasher safe. nice heavy pans, they only thing i wish it came with was a few bigger saute pans, the sauce pots are narrow and deep. love the glass tops

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this cookware. The quality is quite exceptional for the price. I have used the sauce pans and they heat quickly and evenly. I am very pleased with this set.

I was so hoping to get frying pans that did not stick without the nonstick coating. Unfortunately, these were not the ones. I really like the sauce pans that came in the set, but the frying pans stick. I've tried both the cooking spray and cooking oil. The food stuck badly using both. Tried preheating pan and not preheating. Nothing works. I also purchased the 11 qt pan which has the same sticking issues.

This pot and pan set are fine for the money. The frying pan is sort of small and the sauce pans are somewhat shallow, but they're relatively heavy, and for how inexpensive they are I would get them again.

Over-priced. Only the fry pan and the biggest sauce pan worked on my induction cooktop. The rest of the pieces are not induction ready at all. The material is thin and already starting to lose the non-stick quality.

I purchased these because I recently moved cross country and will not be moving my things for a few months yet. When I am finished using these, I will send them to my daughter. For the money, these are an excellent value! I have cooked spaghetti, sauces, rice, and even stir fry - the pans clean up well too.

Gourmet Chef 12-piece Covered Cookware Set, nice but not what the reviews claimed. overstock claimed the set was induction top usable. Only the small sauce pan worked on my induction stove top. Returned the set.

Bought these for my sister. These are a nice average set of pans. The set however could use a larger sauce pan.

Although the set is very good quality the small sauce pan was not induction ready. I called Overstock and they were very good about replacing it. However, the replacement was the wrong color and it also was not induction ready. If you buy the set, do so expecting that the small sauce pan may not be induction ready. Still a good value.

For home cooking, Cook's Standard is a wonderful value. I've been using this product line daily for over a year without issues. The handles fit my hand better than any other product line I have tried. The Steamer is the best ever fitting either small or large sauce pan. All handles including the lids have wishbone design dispursing heat away from the hand making pot holders unnecessary most of the time. Should you use a wok, I urge you to purchase the Cook's Standard. There is no better made wok I know of. I hand wash my pots and pans. Cook's standard cleans easily and a quick wipe with micofiber cloth leaves a spot free shine. Also after much use on a gas range the bottom of the pots and pans show little wear. If you want to impress your friends and neighbors buy Allclad. If you wish to save a lot of money and cook pretty much anything s well buy Cook's Standard.

I just got my new T-fal pan and skillet set in the mail they cook evenly and when an egg cracks on a skillet it has evenly distributed heat. The t-fal set is heavy but better than previous sets. The Set also came with sauce pans with glass lids, I have not been able to try the sauce pans with the lid as it is summer and I don't make soups, chilli's in the summer. I love the underneath and the silicon or rubber handles. I wash these pans by hand as it is recommended. The T-fal heat signature for the pan to tell you when it's ready turns completely red dot to cook is nice as I have been buying T-fal forever and this set is gonna last me 6 or more years as the last set did. Now I'm pretty aware that these pans need to be hand washed to keep their non-stick finish. Love them and would buy again from Overstock.com, Item came just as it looked and nothing was damaged.

nice set for people that cook but not a great deal. did purchase a larger sauce pan seperately. this is a great set for a sensitive ceramic cook top--those buggers don't like anything gritty on them and this set heats evenly!

Truly non-stick! I have had other brands that claimed to be non-stick and they do not compare. No need for even cooking spray in some instances. They clean like a dream, though I have found the underneath does stain with gas cooking. They heat faster than other pans, and more evenly. The sauce pans are taller than many other brands, which is nice-less splatters. Love the orange handles. Do wish though there was a larger skillet that matched the set.

I actually bought these pans from Amazon because they were running a better deal, but I completely love them! I've had them about 6 months and I recommend them to everyone. In my set I have the large, medium, and small sauce pans with lids, the steamer with lid, and I also have two each of the 8" and 10" frying pans. I have had no problems as long as I preheat, which will be the case with any non-coated pans. My only complaint about this set is that none of the lids fit the 10" frying pan. The steamer lid fits the 8". I guess there always has to be something, but this set is still totally worth it. There is an 11" sauté' skillet that comes with a lid that I plan to purchase. For now, I can usually stick a spatula along the side of the large sauce pan lid and it keeps the lid up on the 10" skillet. By the way, I use the dishwasher on these pans (although I do have to occasionally touch up with Bar Keeper's Friend). I've burnt one bone dry. I've cooked on high heat. You name it! The quality is superb! I seriously recommend them to anyone who likes to cook.

This is my first tri-ply stainless steel cookware. It is a very nice starter set. I wished it had a 3.5 quart pot & a 12" saucepan in this set. I will be getting rid of my teflon ones real soon. I really enjoyed cooking with the sauce pan. It browns well and I can make my fried fish crispy. Food does stick, but It cleans up pretty easily with a little bit of soaking in water. The handles on the pans do stay cool. However, don't touch the lid without a pot holder.

1 quart sauce pan does not balance without lid and still has a slight tilt. Called customer service of product and told replacement could not sent, I would have to send the complete box of pots and pans at my expense. Customer service not very helpful in resolving issue.

Stainless steel frying pans are frequently used by professional chefs and serious cooks at home. Unlike cast-iron fry pans, stainless steel fry pans do not need to be seasoned before use; and unlike nonstick fry pans, you will need to use oil to avoid food sticking to the surface of your stainless steel fry pan and even then, some food will still stick. While these facts might seem like disadvantages, they're actually the reasons why many cooks prefer to use stainless steel fry pans. High-quality stainless steel cookware may not be the best for cooking things like eggs, but for the most flavorful searing of fish, meat and vegetables, stainless steel fry pans are unrivaled. The following steps will teach you how break in your stainless steel fry pan before each use.
