I love my yellow speckled Paula Deen cookware set! Although, the pan in the front on the picture looks bigger than what it really is, I am happy with my purchase...

Good basic cookware set. However, the tulip shape means that the bottoms of the pots do not completely cover a small electric burner--wasted energy here. There is no 3 quart pot in this set. There is a 3 quart high-sided skillet. However I prefer a pot when I cook soup/stews. There do not appear to be any open stock items which can be added to this set--not even on the manufacturers website.

Compare these with the Cuisinart multiclad. This set of Cooks Standard is surgical stainless. They are heavy duty (multi-ply clad) . Cut your cooking temp. in half and you will be pleased with the outcome. You need to properly care for them, no cold water in a hot pan., they take 20-30 minutes to cool down.Your best friend is bar keeper's friend for any spot's. Very happy with this purchase. No problem lasting a lifetime, just care for them properly. The outside is a mirror finish and the inside is brushed satin (NICE). Lid's are solid stainless, and fit perfect. Shipped fast and arrived in perfect condition.

I bought these as a late Housewarming present for my brother in law and his wife. They both love to cook and I wish I had a set of my own. These would also work with Induction cooking which I'm considering as an upgrade from our current gas stove/convection oven.

For the price it is a nice set but do not leave food set in pans as it will mark them if you are looking for a heavy stainless steel this is not for you

Was looking for light weight cookware as I have a wrist injury however I also wanted quality. These provide both. Thank you Paula Deen for the pots and pans. I love them. And you can place them in the dishwasher!

The cookware was a gift to my children. I purchased two sets and were delivered without incident to their homes. Both children called within a day after delivery and said that the cookware was " An Awesome Gift ". They both liked the style and apparent quality. I'll write a follow up review after they have had hands on in the kitchen. I personally checked various on line sites and brick and mortar stores and these cookware sets for price paid was number 1. I may even buy a set for myself some day.

Cooks Standard multi-ply cookware is well made, well balanced, and gives great cooking results. Each piece is pretty hefty but the handles are easy to hold, feel good in the hand, and are very well balanced. (I personally love the weight of this cookware but it might be an issue if a person had wrist or arm problems.) Now that I have these, any other cookware seems so light and flimsy. I did a lot of research online and in local stores to determine what I wanted. The fit and finish are comparable to all-clad, if that tells you anything. The entire pans are made of 3 layers of metal - aluminum sandwiched between 2 layers of stainless steel. This was important to me because I have seen other people have issues with the pans with the 3 layers only bonded on the bottom - issues that range from warping to having the bottom fall off of the pan. I did not want that to happen! Plus having 3 layers all the way up the sides lets heat transfer all the way up the sides to help with cooking. They hold heat for much longer. I can remove the pan from heat and still keep the food warm for much longer than my old non-stick pans. The metal lids fit tight to the pans. The lid handles may become warm and so you should be prepared to use a hotpad if necessary. I have had no issues with the handles being hot on the pans themselves. As advertised, they are really stay-cool. The handles are riveted and the feel is solid, there is no wiggling or any looseness. I bought these to replace traditional non-stick pots and pans. I knew I would have to change the way I cook a bit in order to start cooking successfully with stainless steel. A couple of the biggest changes were using much lower heat and preheating the pans. The very first things I tried cooking were eggs and oatmeal. For the eggs, I preheated the pan, tossed in some butter, swirled it around until melted, and cracked in a couple eggs. I used a heat setting of 3-4 instead of 6-7 with non-stick. When time to flip for over easy eggs, I was sure there would be some sticking. Amazingly there was none! The eggs easily slid around in the pan and turning them was no problem! They also slid smoothly out of the pan and onto the plate. Clean up was incredibly easy as well. Just a swipe with a paper-towel, let it cool, then wash with hot soapy water. Almost easier than the non-stick! The oatmeal was also surprisingly easy to cook with no scorching, no sticking, no gummed up pan. Same easy cleanup - just let pan cool and wash in hot soapy water. (For any reviews that complain about food sticking/burning, I personally think that has more to do with the cooks than the cookware.) The paperwork and description both say that these are dishwasher safe and I believe it but I choose to hand-wash to preserve the finish. Dishwasher detergent is rough on finishes and, personally, I want to keep these looking bright and shiny! Also, it is good to have a can of Barkeepers Friend on hand to clean up anything that might end up sticking. BF cleans well and doesn't scratch at all. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend Cooks Standard to anyone. This cookware is nice and solid but doesn't take a huge bite out of your wallet. I have no doubt that this will last for many years and may be the last set of cookware I ever buy.

I bought this set for one of my daughters. Now, my other daughter wants one, too! They cook very quickly and evenly, but the handles remain cool. It is amazing that you can pick up a pot of boiling water with your bare hands. I compared prices around the internet and in retail stores. This was the best price I found for fully clad multi-ply construction.

Beautiful set! Awesome price and should last forever! Heats and cooks beautifully and evenly. Stainless steel cleaner will keep as lovely as the day I opened them out of the box.

All I can say is WOW!! I just received my 10-piece set and it is everything I'd hoped for and more. I did a lot of research before deciding on which set to buy....and after looking in stores....and going on-line....this set just seemed right. I read all the reviews on this set(all positive!)....so I figured....for the price....why not. This is an amazingly well-made set of pots and pans. I was just in ****** a few days ago and I was looking at a set of All Clad that was about 4 times the price of this set....and I actually like these better!! You simply can't get a quality set of tri-ply 18-10 stainless steel cookware at this price and quality....anywhere. I'm absolutely stunned! And even more to my surprise....a few of the reviewers said that there is no lid that fits one of the fry pans. Well....in this set....the stock pot lid fits the large skillet and the steamer lid fits the smaller skillet. Just perfect. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I would definitely recommend this line of stainless steel cookware to anyone who is looking for super high quality at an amazing price. Unbelievably good!!....:~)

I bought this after looking around for a loooong time. The order was delivered quickly and packaged so that every piece was in perfect shape. After washing and drying the cookware I couldn't wait to use my new pans. I was worried that after using the cookware the shine would dull, not so. Cooks evenly and while the cookware is solid it is not so heavy as to be cumbersome. I love this set!

I have had 20 non-stick skillets cookware sets, and in a yr. most of it wore out. I got these stainless steel set, I don't think you can wear these out. But you can't cook on these like the non-stick, you have to cook at a lower temp. But I think and the wife thinks the food taste better out of the new set.

I bought this cookware set to replace an old set I had. Wanted a new set that had lids for each pot. I found this set and was okay with the price. I found that this set is much higher priced at other stores. Cookware set took forever coming. Due to the warehouse having the wrong shipping number. I'm just now receiving the set today after ordering it almost two weeks ago. Cookware Set came by UPS in good condition well packed. The set is heavy and is well made looks to hold up for years to come. I'm very happy with this set, I heard in other reviews that the pot may become discolored. So I will go out and buy the Bar Keepers Friend aid to clean them with. Really great cookware very happy...
Stainless steel is one of the most popular materials for cookware because it is durable, non-reactive, and relatively inexpensive. However, not all stainless steel is the same quality, so you'll want to keep these tips in mind as you shop. When you know what to look for, you'll be able to choose the best stainless cookware set for your kitchen.
For chefs with strong opinions and a no-nonsense approach to cooking, stainless steel cookware is a popular choice. Prized for its resistance to staining, odors, and the transference of flavors, stainless steel cookware is a sound choice for any kitchen. It does require some special care, however, if you want to make the most of your pots and pans.
Unlike cast-iron fry pans, stainless steel fry pans do not need to be seasoned before use; and unlike nonstick fry pans, you will need to use oil to avoid food sticking to the surface of your stainless steel fry pan and even then, some food will still stick. While these facts might seem like disadvantages, they're actually the reasons why many cooks prefer to use stainless steel fry pans. High-quality stainless steel cookware may not be the best for cooking things like eggs, but for the most flavorful searing of fish, meat, and vegetables, stainless steel fry pans are unrivaled. The following steps will teach you how break in your stainless steel fry pan before each use.
If you're shopping for pots and pans, you'll need to decide if you want to buy a set or buy them individually. While many chefs prefer to shop for individual pieces, there are several reasons why you would choose to buy a cookware set for your kitchen. If any of these situations sound like yours, then buying a set is for you.
Choosing cookware for your kitchen comes down to what you like to eat. Think about the recipes that you and your family enjoy, and make sure you have the right pot or pan to prepare them. You can cover most needs with a cookware set, but if you won't use all the pieces in the set, that might not be the right choice for you. If you're buying each piece separately, then use this guide as your shopping list.
Are you looking for a better way to make stir-fry dishes? Your cookware set probably didn't come with a wok, but if you want the pan that will make it simple to quickly cook vegetables and meats into delicious meals, then you'll need to add one to your kitchen. Here's what to look for when you're shopping to the best woks.
When you're shopping for the right cookware it's all about the metal, because that is the vehicle that delivers heat to food. Before you shop for any pots and pans, consider the different types of metals and their benefits.
The key to buying the best cookware is first considering your needs. In order to get the most from your pots and pans, think about everything from your preferred methods of cooking to your desire to spend time keeping it clean. Keep these tips in mind as you shop for cookware.
One of the most versatile pieces of cookware for any kitchen is the skillet, also known as a fry pan. The types vary in cost, materials, and ease of cleanup. While plenty of skillet choices exist, selecting the one that best suits your needs will help make every dish a success.
Whether you're frying eggs or making a gourmet meal, you need a quality skillet to cook with. Some of the most frequently used cookware items, skillets are made of various metals, with or without nonstick coatings. You can also buy an electric skillet to cook breakfast or dinner foods quickly. With the many skillet options available, you may be unsure of the right pans to buy. This guide will provide you with tips on buying the best skillet for your kitchen.
They say the kitchen is the heart of a home, but in many homes, it's also the biggest source of energy waste. Kitchen lighting, refrigeration and cooking consume about 41.5 percent of the total home energy use; add space heating, cooling, and water heating to that total, and you'll see your kitchen is quite the energy hog. Creating an eco-friendly kitchen includes your choice of appliances, but it also goes beyond that; the floors, paint, pots and pans, and other kitchen items you use can make your kitchen eco-friendly as well.
