  • Stainless steel cookset on a budget

    Sep 28, 2014

    greenann  from Seattle, WA, Rating:5.0

I bought this cookset a few months ago ago to replace most of my worn and flimsy nonstick cookware set and I couldn't be happier! Pros: * The pour spouts on the pans * Stainless steel finish * Thick bases that cook food evenly * Cleans up easily with a soft green scrub pad Cons: * The handles will get hot if you leave it on the stove for a long time

I like the cookware, especially the color. The pots and pans were smaller than I thought, but I didn't really pay attention to the size before purchasing.

My pots and pans arrived right on time. The color is perfect - They heat great and keep the heat even. You can actually use them to serve from. I recommend getting them while they are selling at this price......

I like this cookware, but I don't love it. Pros: -Nice quality weight - substantial but not too heavy -They look nice -Handles don't get hot -The set has a nice big steamer -Nice variety of sizes -Great quality for the price Cons: -Although the handles of the pots and pans don't get hot, the handles on the lids do get hot -The lids are all slightly different sizes - it's just weird that they didn't make them more interchangeable -Also - the lid handles are pretty bulky for storage and in the dishwasher -The steamer basket is weirdly larger than the pan it fits over- looks strange, but I like that it's big Overall, I think I like the set, but I'm wondering if I should have spent more money and gotten something else. However, it seems like even the super expensive sets have lid handles that would get hot (this is my biggest disappointment with this set) and steamer baskets are a rare find (steamer is a necessity for me).

I received my Rachel Ray cookware the other day, the weight and the design was very nice. The reason I gave it a 4 star was the color is not a true red it's most of a rustic red with more brown . I was very disappointed because I was going with the color of the picture that shows a true red, if I had not already had red in the my kitchen I would have kept, but had to return due to the wrong shade of red.
