  I bought this when we gutted and re-did our kitchen, and moved our eating area to our basement for a month. This is perfect for quick stovetop cooking such as prepping pasta, boiling water, eggs etc. Now that our kitchen is done, I will use it when we entertain as a hot plate or additional heating option in other places.

  I purchased this item so that I could make my coffee right in my bedroom in the morning. I am one of those people that just does not function very well before my cup 0 Joe in the mornings! The water boils quickly and I have the job done in about 8 minutes! My family thanks you!

  Amazed at the quickness of heating and the instantanious change in cooking levels. It is true that very few of my pots and pans qualified for use with this product, however I still seem to use it more than my smooth top stove.

  Purchased two of these thinking they would provide great extra cooking stations for custom omelettes and pancakes at brunch. One worked well, one didn't work at all.
