  • Perfect ice Scoop

    Nov 6, 2014

    beaverpa  from Western PA, Rating:5.0

I wanted an ice scoop for the ice bin in the freezer. This worked out great. It is small enough to store in the bin and strong enough to break up the cubes that stick together. It is the perfect size to fill a glass with the right amount of ice. It is an attractive style and well made.

Good scale, though mine is quirky.

rotag  from New York, NY, Rating:4.0

Scale was purchased for weighing mail and ingredients. It works well for both purposes, and it seems relatively accurate and precise. That said, mine does not register light objects (less than .5 oz or a few grams) very well when starting from 0, meaning, when the scale has just been turned on or you have just pressed tare. I first noticed this when weighing ingredients: I hit tare and added about 10g of the next ingredient, 1 or 2 g at a time, and the scale still read 0. To solve the problem I stopped using tare, and then each gram added was registered by the scale. I tried a little experiment with large paper clips to see if the same thing happened. 2 large plastic-coated paperclips seem to weigh about 0.1 oz according to this scale. I turned on the scale, let it zero itself, and then added two paperclips at a time. After a while I had a small pile of paperclips and the scale still read 0.0 oz. I removed the paperclips and then the scale read -0.9 oz. Next, I started...

  • Best carving board!

    Nov 16, 2014

    2012cleveland  from Cleveland, OH, Rating:5.0

I have been searching for a good, sturdy, heavy wooden carving board with an indention to collect the run-off juices. I received all this plus the bonus that on one side of the board, there is a perfect indentation for the turkey to lay in, preventing sliding of the turkey while carving it. This board will last for generations. It is well made, heavy and the perfect size for large roasts and turkey. I highly recommend it.

    Vegetables-good, Nuts-terrible!

Unfortunately, I bought this chopper expressly to chop nuts. It does not do a thorough jobl as expected.

  • Works well, stores away easily

    Oct 29, 2014

    dobermann  from Free Virginia, Rating:5.0

Works very well. Small, slim, battery operated - slides into the cupboard when not in use. For $$ bucks I'm going to complain? Get outta here!
