I am very dissapointed with this machine. The hand crank jams and won't turn propperly. The fittings don't seem to fit properly. The grinder itself is too large to turn in the tunnel. Also, there was some random broken peice in the box. Then to top it off, I should have got the one with the clamp, you have to hold the thing down while fighting with it to turn in the first place.I'm grinding smoked fish.....shouldn't be that difficult for cast iron to grind.

product was difficult to use and produced very little juice before you had to break it down and clean it. Teh worst part is that it developed rust after the first use. I returned it for a full refund within 3 days. do not waste your time.

I would have preferred a round press to better fit my cast iron fry pan, but it works well in a pan large enough to accept it's size.

This product is very easy to use. It took me a few times of using it before I was able to completely get the hang of it. Since it is cast iron, it has a smell to it that does NOT transfer to the juice and it has a tendency to rust a little. However, I am satisfied with my purchase and I use it every morning.

It was a little tricky putting it together, but finally figured it out. I use it frequently and it works great. The coil handle stays cool and cleanup is a snap with a little hot, soapy water and dry off. DON'T put cast iron in the dishwasher. :)

The blade broke on the first use into 4 pieces(i was grinding trimmed pork butt and chicken thighs). It weighed to much to send it back so I called the Weston company and they will sent me a new blade(there is a one year warranty), it just that they said the blade was stainless steel, but it broke like cast iron and that wasn't just my opinion I showed it to a guy that works with metal and he also thought it broke like cast iron. Weston customer service was very nice and polite that is why I gave it a 2 star rating. I am hoping it will crush vegetables

If I was able to see that the surface that comes directly in contact with the bacon had exposed screws, I would not have ordered it. The screws go all the way through the cast iron press and bacon grease will collect in this space, be hard to clean out and that's just really terrible for cleanliness. I will be sending this back and be looking for a replacement.

My husband wanted silicone pot holders and he loves pigs, so when I saw these I just had to buy them for his Christmas stocking! I was skeptical when I first saw them...how could they really protect your hands from heat?! But they work amazingly well. In addition, they are easy to clean off (no more gummy, gunky pot holders) and the texture helps hold onto slippery pots and handles. I especially love them for grabbing the handle of my cast iron skillet when I need to move it while cooking. These were one of the best purchases of 2009 for our household!

I was looking for cast iron and mistakenly ordered this aluminum press. I'm a Texan, living outside of Texas. So I started making my own tortillas. I've been successful, but I ended up handrolling, because this press doesn't work the tortilla dough to where it's thin enough. My first batch ended up more like flat breads. Didn't like it and tossed it out. I just didn't bother to return the item.

Very nice set of silicone spatulas, with a nice handle. Grip on the handle could be better, but they are well balanced (i.e. handle is heavy enough to be a counterweight). Seem to hold up well in hot water, skillets, and robust enough not to easily melt or burn. Scraping stuff off the bottom of a cast iron skillet or a stainless steel skillet does not seem to ruin them either, even on fairly high heat. Perfect for making a sauce out of the burnt-in residue on the skillet, once loosened by red wine or vinegar - something that ruined my old set does not seem to impact these. Nice...

I recently used my FF cutter- man this thing is BIG! it is definitely for commercial use as it works so much better mounted on the wall. But how many home chefs have room for a french fry cutter on the wall? I mainly purchased this to use in canning potatoes. I load them into jars and pressure can for my specific altitude and time, and then when I'm ready to use them, I have the perfect french fries! It it well built and will last my lifetime and I am very sure of that! Hubby likes to use it because he has broken all other tpyes of cutters, and this one is just solid and strong. You can't bend the blades or break the handle, it is solid cast steel or iron, not sure. All surfaces are painted with what looks to be a heavy duty epoxy paint.Clean up is a breeze and can go into your dishwasher.
