I purchased this chair in June 2006 for use on a balcony off of my master bedroom. I wanted a tete et tete made of wood that I could leave out year round since I do not have room for storage. This product was engineered well and easy to put together. The only problem I had was with one of the four pre-set nuts that are embedded in the wood. It was at an irregular angle and when I inserted the screw to fasten two pieces together the screw got stuck. Upon attempting to remove the screw the nut came loose from the wood and stripped its wooden niche. Using pliers I separated the two pieces and turned the nut around to fasten the screw which worked just fine. The wood is a chocolate brown and should keep nicely with seasonal applications of tung oil. The set seems to be standard sized and should accomodate after market cushions without a problem.

The product arrived promptly. It was easily assembled. The quality of the wood was ALMOST flawless. The stain was even. We were impressed with its sturdy nature. The chairs are nice and wide. We are very pleased with our purchase and are planning to use some kind of sealant on the wood so that they will last a very long time.

I bought this seat set for my mother-in-law's new back yard, and she loves it. It is sitting under a big old fig tree on flagstone and it looks great. I got it just a few days after ordering. My son put it together and seemed to have no trouble doing it. There was one little nick/chunk on one arm rest, but it easily sanded out and I touched it up with a bit of colored varnish--good as new. I will be interested to see how it weathers a winter in San Jose. Hopefully well.

We've had this double chair/table for over two years. Easy to assemble. Arrived intact. We have it on our deck and have never taken it in. Last winter we had 16" of snow for two weeks (very unusual where we live). The finish took a beating, but used a linseed oil, natural sealer on it and it looks as good as new. The nice thing with this piece is the chairs are nice and wide, so it is very roomy. Accommodates cushions with no problem. If the past 2+ years are any indication, this piece will be around for a VERY long time.
