My husband had purchased this vanity a year ago. We were a little nervous about buying such a large unit online when there are all kinds of dead lines to meet during the construction. We were hoping to receive the unit in 3-5 weeks as OSTK said it would take no longer than 6 weeks, guess what? We received it on the 5th day!! We have had this item installed before Christmas and had at least three family member asked me where this was purchased. The vanity is made out of solid wood, looks and feels sturdy, the extra cabinet next to the mirror hides all the mess that was on the old vanity counter top. We ended up selling the faucet and drain to our contractor for $100 as we had to use brush nickel hardware to match our tub. Overall it was a great buy, and it makes your day when people compliments you on your purchase.
This looks much better than what we used to have, but there are some things to mention that are not so good too. It mostly involves some installation and build quality issues.1. The feet are plastic, and as such the threads strip easily. The screws that hold the mounting brackets for the feet are flimsy too. For the price I would expect better build quality if the feet. Luckily there is plenty of material to bolt it to the wall and keep the load on the feet to a minimum. As shipped they are mounted at the corners. Since this has an open space under it you will most likely have trim at the wall to floor joint that protrudes some distance. You'll have to move the feet to get the unit against the wall, unless you shim it, but then you'll also have a gap between the wall and sink which you probably don't want.2. There is next to 0 space to connect your plumbing. All that is provided is a 6" X 6" or so square hole in the middle between the drawers. This section is boxed off, not open to the left or right space. I had to use my hole saw in many places to get existing valves and hoses through. A messy job. Unless your supply lines come out +/-2 inches from the faucet center, you'll have plenty of cutting to do.3. This uses 1-1/4 inch drain piping, not the more common 1-1/2 inch. Additionally in my case the existing drain pipe coming out of the wall nearly runs into the drawers, which are already shallow.4. Small drawers. These are not very usable for anything other than very small items.5. I don't believe you will find it in the description or specs, but the sink is tapered, e.g. it is wider at the rear than at the front. If you are placing this adjacent to a side wall, you will have a variable gap, unless your wall is really crooked.6. The mirror sits on brackets that put it quite a ways off the wall. About 5/8" I'd say. Use glue to keep it in place. And then I would suggest cleaning it with care.7. The shelf under the mirror scratches easily.
The only problem we had with it was that the top drawer interfered with the plumbing (drain pipe). My contratcor had to cut a notch in the back of the srswer so it would close. This was somewhat diappointing.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? It was a bit darker.

Very happy with the vanity and the price. It looks rich and the sink is awesome. It really completes our new bathroom. Shipping was quick ( I was in a rush to recieve because contractor was done faster then expected) .
Contemporary Italian Bathroom Vanity Set made in China. Somewhat difficult to install. Dark, rich color. Sink very white...attractive. Received alot of compliments.
First off the dimensions listed on overstock.com are incorrect. the actual dimensions are such (and I measured them): 35.5 inches high x 19 inches deep x 35 inches wide. Now if this variance is an issue for you (as it is for me) well then you (like me) have a serious problem.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Yes
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Seems to be good
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Poor. The dimentions are wrong. as in all wrong.
We ordered two of these vanities for our kid's bathroom. They are poorly constructed, and one immediately started leaking upon installation. Our contractor had to spend an enormous amount of time installing the vanities and fixing all of the problems. I'm guessing these will only last a few years, at best. I would not buy this product again.
The product was exactly as on the internet great value since it encluded sink, faucet and mirror. The delivery was flawless they contacted me and deliver the product without no problems. I recommend the buying experience from overstock.com including their customer service since they help me with the discount coupon.
I've bought a bunch of furniture and fixtures from Overstock -- this is the only dog in the bunch. It arrived cracked on one side and had finish chipping off -- both were not a result of shipping, it's cracked at one joint and re-glued like it came that way from the factory. The cut out for the drain and water supply lines are 8"x8". Maybe in new construction you could get tolerances like that. But for a remodel? Forget about it! Had to hack up the back to get the water shutoff to fit, even then a handle is stuck against the inside of the cabinet. The supply lines are non-standard connections on the faucet side, good luck ever finding these if you need to replace the lines. The drain is designed for the low clearance p-trap that came with it so they can cram 2 tiny drawers in the middle. Again, that means your drain has to line up on the wall perfectly with the drain on the sink. If not, you need to use a series of ABS plastic bends and connectors, which means you can kiss using the drawers goodbye since you'll have no room to make the plumbing fit. By the end, mine was so hacked up to make it work, that it defeated the purpose of buying a kit in the first place. Legs are plastic, as are much of the hardware. Cheap plastic hinge covers on medicine cabinet popped off and needed gluing. A really low quality, inferior product all the way around, this should not be sold on the site. And this was over $$$ bucks! Consider yourself warned.
