Note that the exterior stack has the manufacturer's name printed on both side. This came off easily with a little nail polish remover. The instructions are very basic, but the diagram really answered all my questions and it was installed in less than two hours. Overall very good quality for the price... not quite up to the premium brands with regards to some minor finish issues but I can't think of anyone that would think those minor differences justify paying $900 more. The shipping box is about 25" tall so you can use this to temporarily rest the hood in position above your cooktop while making the connections to the ceiling. In other words, place the empty box on your cooktop, balance the exhaust hood on the box with someone standing guard, and rock the hood gently to make the connections to one side of the ceiling bracket, then pivot to make the connections on the other side. everything is great about this product, however..the transformer was DOA and I had to call customer service about it. They were great, not only did the send multiple level apologies but they got the replacement part out right away and is in route as we speak. O did great in addressing my needs. I will continue to deal with them for that alone. As for the defective part...stuff happens. Once it comes in...I hope all goes well. Thanks O.co

We only just tried this out today as we just renovated our kitchen and we are thrilled! The price could not be beat anywhere, and it looks fantastic! The lighting is nice and the fan has a lot of power. We expected a long time for delivery(6 weeks?), but it showed up within the week (almost too quick:). This was our first purchase from overstock and I will definitely be back!

My husband installed this with little/no trouble at all! He had read in some reviews that it could take up to an entire day but didn't end up spending near that amount of time! I haven't been able to use it yet, but the install was seamless and I LOVE the look it gives my kitchen!

This center room island hood vent was a great buy! Haven't installed it yet as construction is behind schedule, but since purchasing it I've checked out other stores and this one is a great value. Installation looks standard.

This is a nice range hood, especially for the price. The glass is clear, thick and of a good quality. It was easy to assemble and install -- we didn't even need the instructions.

I just love this Island hood range!! Everyone that comes to see my new kitchen is falling in love with the hood range also! It has plenty of lighting for cooking and the exhaust works really well! It is such a great addition to my home and I will be recommending this to everyone! I reviewed MANY Island hood ranges and this by far is the best for the value. My only complaint at all was the shipping length.....plan for 6 weeks though, I did get it after calling customer service in about 3-4 weeks. Overall this was a great buy!!

This product was well packed with spray foam. I had an electrician install it and it took him about an hour. Just note this is not recirculating and requires ducts to vent.

This is a great product! It looks fantastic over the island in my kitchen. There are light and fan controls on both sides of the range hood so someone sitting at the breakfast bar can turn on the light, you don't have to be on the kitchen side to do that. It looks so modern and beautiful! I highly recommend it. As far as ease of installation, I can't really say because my contractor installed it during my kitchen remodel. I have used the fan while cooking and it works great.

Had this installed in my kitchen in July by an electrician. He stated it was very easy to intall and it makes my kitchen look fabulous ! It's the first thing people see and comment on when they walk into my kitchen. I have a 96 year old renovated farm house and that is all they want to talk about. It is easy to keep clean, quiet fan (even on the highest setting), and the 4 lights give me plenty of light when I am cooking or just making a cup of coffee at the counter. Great investment and is not pricey like some other models I look at. Very pleased and would highly recommend this to my friends.

We are really pleased with this island range hood. The hood is very attractive and works well. It arrived much quicker than expected (about a week!) and was easy to install by one person (if you use the box to "prop" the hood up while attaching the wiring). It was the first time we'd purchased anything through Overstock.com, and we're very satisfied with both the range hood and the purchasing/delivery services provided by Overstock.com.

I am pleased with the range hood purchase. The only thing that I wish it had was variable brightness on the light. There are three speeds for the fan which is good, however, the light is only one brightness. It would be nice to have a night light.

We havn't install it yet, but it looks great. Usually those kind of hoods are selling retail for more then 1200$ My contracror 'estimation' was around 2000). The order process and delivery was fast and painless

THis is the center piece of our kitchen and we love it!

We are in the process of installing our new Range Hood, my husband is very handy so he is doing it himself. It is very nice looking & I hope it is as functional as it looks. Will give anoher review after it has been up & running for a while.
