    A wonderful invention for keeping track of the turkey/roast etc. internal temperature without opening the oven door and cooling the oven air. The probe went in easily, the attached wire did not obstruct the closing of the oven door and the information dial attached to the outside of the stove via magnets. The reading is very easy to see as it progresses over time. The beeping pulses were easily heard in spite of background noises. The clip on beeper also functioned as stated in the instructions. My husband was so fascinated, he knew our married children had to each have one. We believe it will work on the barbeque grill also.

    So, disclaimer: I haven't got around to using all the features of this thermometer so .... probably means I didn't need them all or that I haven't exactly read the instructions :) I have had good luck with this brand before (why I bought it). So far it's been easy to use for taking the temperature of hot water and roasting meat and poultry in the oven. I bought it to use with my smoker and when the electrician shows up to install an outlet on my upper deck I will no doubt use the remote feature but until then I can only say that this is a good thermometer at an excellent price.

  • does this have a clip so that you can use it in a sauce pan? and does it have settings for different foods like beef, poultry, candy?

    • Thank you for your question jbeckman. The Connoisseur Wireless Programmable Thermometer with Remote Pager does not have a clip. But, it does have a 48 inch cord, so the probe can be put in a saucepot and the thermometer can stay on the counter. And, yes, it does have settings. It has 9 pre-set meat selections and 5 doneness levels. You can also customize it for individual settings. Have a great day.
