Looks nice, but again the slide mechanisim is poorly consturcted and breaks after openining less than a dozen bottles. Does anyone know where to get replacement parts?
We received one of these as a gift. It is a beautiful item, but extremely poorly constructed. The guide slug breaks easily and is irreplaceable. So, for the first 5 or 6 bottles you open, it's great. The slug breaks, you insert the one replacement, open 4 more bottles, and now it's just decoration.

I bought this wine opener for a gift for my daughter. Both she and I were really impressed with the quality and workmanship. The antique scroll work finish is beautiful. It is very heavy duty. I was looking for an opener that bolted to the bar surface. However this is so heavy duty that there is no need to permanently attach it which is a bonus with granite or marble counter tops. We also like the fact that it opens and recorks bottles. This is a great gift for any wine lover.
