This chandelier is really beautiful. If you search Casablanca Transformation blog you can see it in my house to give you an idea of how it looks. I am really happy with it. Yes you have to attach every glass piece to the chandelier but it wasn't too bad - and worth the effort for the price.
I wanted to find a cheaper version of a chandelier that I had admired in a pricey catalog, and this was definitely it. Looks just the same as the more expensive one. Quality was what I expected, not great, but for the price it was fine. Assembling this chandelier was extremely time consuming!! One word of advice: put your bulbs in first (not included, by the way!!), hang the frame from the ceiling, then attach all the crystals. This will be much easier than the way the directions say to do it.
This fixture is gorgeous, however, it was extremely hard to put together. Since it's been a few days and I've had some time, I would probably buy it again. Before you start this project, "rig" something up so you can work on it while it is suspended. ( I ended up using 2 dining chairs and a mop handle (pole) and then I threaded the light fixture onto the pole between the chairs, hope this makes sense) The glass pieces are heavy and I found them difficult to attach to the fixture - my fingers were pretty sore after I finished, so prepare yourself. This is not a quick thing to put together. The pictures do not do it justice as it is gorgeous and bigger than the picture indicates. I don't think you will be dissatisfied with the end product. I bought 3 different light fixtures and this one is my favorite.
The title says "matte silver" as the color, but the picture is more like a brushed nickle. It is really MATTE SILVER. It looks very cheap to us. But this is because we wanted brushed nickle. The crystals are very high quality. Every was up to the description except the color (when you compare it to the picture)
I purchased this light with two other PB knock offs. This one I was unsure of when I purchased and figured it would probably be going back. Once I got it up (4 hours later since I replaced a ceiling fan in my dining room, hung this, and had to go through the arduous task of hanging all these crystals myself) it blew me away. What a gorgeous light. I immediately called my friends to come over to give me a second opinion and they all loved it. Even my husband admitted it is pretty albeit a slightly girly light. It really shines (pun intended) when the light is turned on since the light bounces off the crystals in such a great way. I have it hung over a mahogany table and sea grass chairs and so it gives the room a very PB/ shabby chic look. Love it. I wish Overstock would allow reviewers to post pictures so other buyers could see it with furniture, etc. My only real complaint (besides hanging the crystals) is that the base looks a little cheap, not bad enough that I would return the light though.
The fixture will be great in my bathroom once it is hang....but it is NOT shiny chrome at all. We sprayed it with some chrome paint and it helped bring up the shine factor. The crystals are very nice. I would recommend it if you don't care about the lack of chrome shine.
Very heavy once all of the glass is installed. It is very pretty and great quality. I adjusted the overall length of the chandelier by shorting the chains that hold each ring of glass charms. I have mine over a sink in a bathroom with eight foot ceilings and it looks great!
Very nice chandelier, I always read all the reviews before I purchase something I decided to go for it. My cousin has the PB one and this is very close it is bigger too. I bought the matte silver one the silver is a bit lighter then the photo but still nice and with all the glass drops you don't even notice the silver. It does take a long time to hook each and every drop but they are really nice and look great on. My advice pour a nice glass of wine and while you attach all the pieces!!! Good luck!
The matte finish was the problem. It did not look like the image on the site. I am returning it.
The color of the metal looks tacky. It's not really silver, it's spray painted silver which makes it almost look like plastic. I was a little disappointed when I opened the box. We are going to keep it because I like the over all look of the crystals but I took it apart first and sprayed the rings black before putting on all the crystals. I was looking for more of a Satin finish but it just looked a little cheap. Much better black.
