This desk is $%^$ dollars, and arrives in three separate boxes. The finish is suppose to be "laminant/metal". The only metal is the screws and if it is laminant, it's cheap, easy to scratch and easily damaged. The style IS nice if only the quality of the desk would be better. Also, the assembly guide was poorly written/drawn, and would have taken all day. We're sending it back. Overstock is charging us $@#$ dollars in shipping to return, so please don't waste your money. I wish I hadn't, and will order another desk from a different site. We just purchased our first house, so I've ordered 9+ furniture items online (including bookshelves, dining room tables, bedroom set, wine table, etc) and I can tell the difference between decent pieces and poor quality. This is the poorest quality thus far, and the only item I hate enough to return.
