I purchased this composter after my old one fell apart. I was willing to spend more for one that tumbles after years of trying to turn my own compost with a pitchfork and/or shovel. This one gets pretty heavy since it holds so much compost but I can still turn it myself, although I am a pretty strong woman. The design is wonderful and the assembly was a piece of cake, took me less than 15 minutes by myself. I had heard horror stories of other tumbling composters being difficult to assemble but this one showed up with the barrel in all one piece and I just had to assemble and attach the stand. I have already gotten quite a bit of compost "tea" from the compost I transferred from my old system into this one. I highly recommend it to anyone!
