I love this desk! My husband put this desk together without incident. It was a bit cumbersome to assemble, but it was worth the wait. This desk is gorgeous (as my daughter put it when she saw it fully assembled).

The desk looks really nice all assembled. It's a nice finish and very dark, which I expected. It looks black in dim light. It's evenly stained but in some places where the finish chipped off due to the screws, it is clearly that paint-type stain that just is a big layer on top of very light wood. That is fine since it was not expensive. The issues I had were:1. It was really really a pain to assemble. The screws are very cheap quality and easy to strip. The screw covers just fall right off. Assembly took about 3 hours for my very mechanically inclined husband. It wasn't hard, as much as time consuming and sort of non-intuitive.2. Manufacturing quality is lacking, it looks fine but the keyboard tray is totally off balance and catches in the wrong places. The screws were cheapo and the finish is just a big thick layer on top of the wood.

This desk is great. Arrived in a timely fashion and without damage. The desk was a little difficult to assemble (took two people), but no more difficult than most furniture that has assembly required. The wood is a gorgeous dark brown color and does not look bad with my black desk chair and other black furniture that I have in the room. It was nice that it is hardwood and feels very sturdy and quality made, not cheap. Came with lots of spare parts. Of course I wish it had a drawer to hide some of my stuff, but I knew that was lacking when I bought it. Just bought baskets to organize instead. Love the modern lines :-)

We purchased this item based on the reviews. However, the item came missing items. And it was very difficult to assemble as some of the holes were too large for the pieces that were supposed to fit into them. I will say that the quality of the wood is great and the color of the wood is beautiful. I don't think this item was worth the money after the time it has taken us to jimmy the item together just to find that there are missing pieces.

THIS COMPUTER DESK IS VERY MODERN WITH A LOT OF ROOM TO PLACE YOUR ITEMS EVEN FLOWERS ON THE TOP SHELVE. THE ONLY MINUS IS AS YOU CAN SEE DESK DOES NOT HAVE ANY DRAWERS BUT I BOUGHT IT KNOWING THAT THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT ANOTHER DRAWER THAT I PUT NEXT TO IT AND IT LOOKS GREAT EVEN BETTER THAT THE DESK DOESN'T HAVE ANY DRAWERS IT LOOKS MORE MODERN. I LOVE THIS DESK IT AWESOME.

Having never had to put anything together myself, I found it to be relatively easy. One of my main requirements for my purchase of a PC desk was that I wanted solid wood, which it is. All the pieces and parts were of excellent quality, and, they were all there. They even include extra parts, just in case, (a pleasant surprise.) Having never heard of Rubberwood, I did some research. Another pleasant surprise is that it's an environmentally friendly wood. A very nice, solid product with no issues.
