We ordered this umbrella after shopping around for quite a long time. We had looked at umbrellas from $400 up. We needed one that was cantilivered from the top and large to put over a teak table as well as have the ability to be moved over to cover our swim spa. We liked the sunbrella fabric that it was advertised with but were put off a bit by a previous review. We decided to order it anyway since it looked VERY similar to the custom architectural one we had briefly considered for 5 times the price. When it arrived, my husband (an architect) and I (a designer) were pleasantly suprised. It is solidly constructed and looks better than we anticipated with our sleek, modern outdoor furniture. It works very well and opens and closes easily for those sunny days when the heat can be unbearable. We have had no trouble with instability. A GREAT value for the price.
i think the umbrella is very strong and will last a long time, quality made and beautiful. I was disappointed in that it wouldn't swivel, nor would it fit in my table....i thought the dual functioning would allow it to fit inside the whole in my table, but it was much too large....and because it won't swivel its very impractical for catching the sun...much better models out there for less money and with better functioning.
