The mattress is firm and comfortable. However, there was a VERY STRONG ODOR when first opened and it lasted for a week, making one very dizzy! This is very disappointing. I also have a **** eco-friendly latex foam mattress and it did not remit odor when opened. I understand some gassing is possible, but for the odor to last more than a few hours is disturbing, let alone days. I would recommend for the comfort but if you are sensitive to 61 chemicals contained in a memory foam mattress, then reconsider.Read More

We bought this for my daughter in college and she loves it. We got her the soft as we didn't want it to be too firm and she is happy with it. We also have the king size and it is wonderful for me but my husband has some back issues and needs and even firmer mattress.Read More
I received this mattress a few days before I moved, so I actually kept it in the thick plastic for 5-6 days. When I finally got it out, it immediately started to expand with a whooshing noise that sounded like a flat tire. After a few hours it was 14 inches high and I left it to keep expanding. After about 8 hours of being open, it was hard and I slept on it that night despite saying to myself that I would follow the directions and wouldn't be stupid like the other reviewers on this site. It doesn't matter, you can sleep on it the first night. I ORDERED THE FIRM VERSION and I like my beds firm, but not hard. This mattress takes a few nights to break in, but after that it becomes a little softer and I sink in about 1.5 inches in my heaviest torso part. I am 6'1" and 160 lbs so use that as a guide. I did not find this bed hot either, inside my room is around 70 F and I sleep with only a sheet. I also am warm blooded and usually quick to sweat or be hot in general but I am finding this to be only slightly hotter than my old spring mattress. This bed is nice, it is a good bed for the price since foam beds can range in the thousands of dollars, I feel as though I have gotten my monies worth.Read More
Received the mattress in 4 days, well ahead of the 10-day expected delivery. Mattress unrolled easily and weird smell was gone within one week. Bed is VERY comfortable. I ordered a "MEDIUM" and it's relatively soft, so if you're looking for Medium to Firm you should probably go with the FIRM. The bed is up to, if not beyond my expectations for what I expected to receive in this price range. Only thing I can think is a "not so great" about the mattress is that I've needed to sleep in different spots every few nights to let the foam regain it's form (i.e. sleep on the left side of the bed one night, the middle area the next night, and then back to the left or over to the right on the following night.) This isn't a problem for me because I sleep alone, so I'm not sure how this would work if two people are sleeping on the bed. I bought a DOUBLE/FULL size mattress.Read More
Almost hesitated purchasing this one 14 inch (medium full sized) based on a couple of negative reviews. However, went with my gut. Many other reviews were highly positive. Yes this mattress is firm on top; good for back support. However, it is firm as well as soft. A true memory foam. A writer said it wasn't memory foam saying "it doesn't spring back". This is not true, you can't tell because of the fabric covering. Another said it doesn't pop back on when you exit. That is not true, it pops up immediately. There is no sinkhole and I am a heavy person. I bought this first because it is USA made. The Chinese imports have problems. Chemical smell, not getting back into shape quickly. I did the research, a USA made one is preferable by most who have purchased a knock off Tempur Pedic. Received this yesterday; I slept on it last night. It almost fully returns to size on removing it from the plastic. It took 3-4 hours to fully reach the 14 inch thickness. There is a faint chemical urethane smell, hardly noticeable. I am sure it will dissipate in a couple of days. I rushed to review this to negate the negative reviews. For the first time in a couple of years I didn't wake up with a backache. My foam/spring mattress needed replacing. This was a great choice for me. Firm support and soft comfort. I am so pleased a great USA mattress with the best price anywhere. I am glad I went with my gut on this purchase.Read More
I really love this mattress. Although I ordered the 14 inch high mattress, I didn't realize how high it would actually be when on the box springs--it is wonderful, but a warning, it might make you need a longer dust ruffle or spread. I was fine, but as mentioned, the bed does sit high and has a grand presence. The instructions said to unfold it and spread it out to breathe and take shape for 24 hrs. I let it do so for 48 just to be sure. I did NOT notice any unpleasant smell from the foam at all. I ordered the firm, and it is very firm, but not hard, which is good. My old mattress, which was pretty expensive, caved in the center which is why I got this one. I've had it about a month. So far it looks and feels great.Read More
The mattress is great but if you're expecting a Temper-Pedic quality memory foam, that's not what you're getting. I'd compare it to a firm 3 inch memory foam mattress pad atop a normal mattress. I opted for the medium and it's a little too firm for me but not enough to complain. For the price I paid compared to the price of a fancy memory foam mattress or even the price of a spring mattress and a mattress pad, it's more than comparable. I'm very happy with my purchase, only wish I had opted for softer. Take my advice: if you like soft, go with the soft option instead of going for medium in fear of the 'soft' being too soft.Read More
I just recently moved into a smaller home that included a smaller bedroom so I had to literally downsize from my Queen size TempurPedict mattress that was embedded into a custom made platform bed that took up almost all of my bedroom space. I would of loved to purchase a full-size TempurPedic mattress but just couldnt afford another big purchase, so I decided to do some research on Memory Foam mattresses that Overstock had. After reading many of the reviews about the "Comfort Dreams Select-A-Firmness 14 -inch Full-size Memory Foam Mattress", it was suggested by many reviews that the medium was to hard so I took a chance and ordered the SOFT. I am very pleased and beyond satisfied with my new mattress, it is actually between firm and soft. It fits no problem two adults and my little (15lb) dog. LOVE IT!Read More

Best Mattresses for Every Sleeping Position
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body. How to Select a Memory Foam Mattress
If you wake up with sore shoulders or an aching back, your old mattress is probably to blame. When you upgrade to a memory foam mattress, you'll enjoy comfortable nights on the viscoelastic foam that was originally developed by NASA scientists. To make sure you get the best mattress for your needs, you'll want to consider these factors while you're online shopping for a memory foam mattress.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

Best Reasons to Buy Firm Baby Crib Mattresses
When you're shopping for baby crib mattresses, safety should always come first. A soft mattress may make sleeping more comfortable for you, but the same could be hazardous, even deadly, for your infant. Baby crib mattresses should be firm -- as firm as possible -- to keep your little one safe during the night or daytime naps. You may be tempted towards the soft baby crib mattresses for your child, thinking that he'll be more comfortable. Babies, however, don't need the same joint support as adults, but they do need baby crib mattresses that reduce the risk of harm from their baby furniture while they sleep. There are many reasons to buy a firm baby mattress, and the following tips can help you determine what to look for.

How to Choose a Mattress for Back Pain
There's not a single mattress type that's best for back pain. While studies suggest that a medium-firm mattress is most likely to soothe a sore spine, your mileage may vary: one person's back problem can respond well to a memory foam mattress, while another person might feel best on a model with inner springs. If you're on the hunt for some bedding to help alleviate a sore body, take a look below to learn how to choose a mattress for back pain.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.

Before purchasing a box spring, it's necessary to think about size, quality and value, as well as comfort. The right box spring can make or break a mattress purchase, so shop wisely and take the time to select the box spring that's right for your bed. To select a box spring, good research and patient shopping are the keys to success.
How to Choose a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
Memory foam, also called "temper foam," was first developed by NASA in the mid-1960s to ensure passenger comfort and protection in airplane seats. Memory foam mattress toppers mold to the body, and then slowly spring back to their original shape. This makes them ideal for those with back or joint pain. However, not all memory foam mattress toppers are the same. Here's how to choose one that will best suit your needs.
