This is more than I expected! The actual mattress is covered with a microfiber fabric. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. This is the most comfortable mattress on which I have ever slept. It arrived like carpeting. All I had to do was cut the heavy plastic wrap and it unrolled right onto the box spring. I would recommend this to everyone.

Ever since we have purchased this mattress we have never slept better. Joints don't hurt, and neither does our backs. I know there were reviews about the odor, yes there is a bit of one but it is the new smell and goes away after a few days, it was not bad enough to keep us from sleeping on it. You may find it really hard to get up your first few mornings, my husband nor I wanted to get out of bed it was so delightful.

I've had this mattress for about 3 months now and i'm very pleased with it. I would like to make a suggestion though: visit your local mattress stores first to try out memory foam mattresses of differing thicknesses.. This mattress will be too soft for some so you need to find out what works best for you. This one is very well made and of high quality with none of the odor some have mentioned. Please READ THE INSTRUCTIONS that come with the mattress and let it take it's shape!

I'll start with saying that my first experience with a memory foam mattress was the week I spent at my sister's and I slept on her Tempurpedic. I fell in love with it but the price ($3,500) for a queen was simply out of my immediate budget and I didn't want to charge it. That was a year ago and I'd been contemplating buying it anyway but again, the price. After seeing this mattress and reading the reviews, although skeptical, I thought I'd take a chance. It is absolutely THE most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. In my humble opinion it is directly comparable to the other brand for a fraction of the cost. I've been eyeing this mattress for several months. My only regret is that I waited. It did take two of us to take it up to the bedroom and unwrap and put on the bed. It regained its full shape in minutes. I admit I couldn't wait so I slept on it the the very same night. The instructions that came with it said that it would not affect the performance of the mattress if you chose to use it right away. Yeah, there was a slight smell. If you're asleep your sense of smell diminished -- it didn't bother me one bit. The odor dissipated within 2 days. The first night I slept like a baby on a cloud and have every night since. I can't imagine sleeping on anything else. The persistent lower back pain I'd grown accustomed to disappeared. If you're thinking about buying this mattress, stop don't waste another minute. Just do it! You will not regret it. About the author of this review: Before this purchase, I have never given such a glowing review for anything I've purchased online at this site or anywhere else.

My only reservation with this bed is that at 17" thick we had a hard time finding sheets that will fit the bed. We've read that memory foam beds should use a washable mattress pad but with the pad even the biggest 18" fitted sheet don't fit. We found some 22" sheets that will work but don't assume that the 18" sheets you may have already purchased will work. Other than that, this bed is super comfortable and absolutely luxurious. Our bed did not have the 'new foam' stink that others have complained about. I did let the mattress regain it's shape for ~48 hours before first using it.

I haven't slept this well in years! I highly recommend this mattress for anyone having back problems!

I waited a year to write this review so let me tell you that once you go to a memory foam mattress such as this one, you could never go with anything else (except maybe tempupedic). I have had back problems all my life and I have gone though so many mattresses thinking they were the problem. The firmness of this mattress does take some getting used to, but after a few weeks, there was nothing more relaxing than hopping on this bed. And the problems I experienced with my back are a thing of the past! I am not joking! The thickness of the mattress is great in that it raises the height of my bed and eliminates the need for a traditional box spring. The only con I can think of is that not all sheet sets accomodate the 17in thickness. Nonetheless, I would definately recommend this mattress to anyone and I have convinced some friends already.

This mattress is wonderful! I have had it for about 3 weeks now and have never felt better. The hip and lower back pain I was experiencing is now pain free. So much so that a family member is now interested in purchaning the same mattress as well.

This is the best mattress I have ever owned. Since I bought mine, my sister and daughter purchased one too. I can't say enough about it

This mattress is polyurethane just like all of the rest of the "memory foam" mattresses. My husband and I thought we were paying a little more than we planned for a better bed, but we were wrong. It is supportive and we don't wake up with back aches, but it just doesn't have that floating on a cloud feeling like the real memory foam from Tempurpedic for example. The fact that it is 17" deep is also a little frustrating when buying sheets because you have to get those that are extra deep which usually limits your color and quality choices. After about 6 months with this bed, you do start to notice yourselves always rolling toward the center of the mattress, but it's not as bad as our last 2 mattresses that we've slept on. If you are looking for a quality memory foam, go with the brand name, not polyurethane type. I know they are expensive, but it's for a good reason (I would have liked to have had this attitude prior to this purchase because now we are leaving the memory foam idea altogether). Or, if you want something cheap and decent for a few years, go for this type, but in a smaller size like 11" or 14".

I did a lot of research for a memory foam mattress and came very close to spending around $5000 on one. Based on all of the reviews I read about this mattress, I decided to just go for it. What was the worse thing that could happen? I also decided to purchase the mattress protection plan...I WARN YOU...I did my order over the phone so that I could hear specifics about the warrenty. The customer service rep told me that the warrenty covered damage to the mattress and covered if the mattress did not keep its integrity that it would be covered for 10 years. This IS NOT the case, the warrenty only covers stains!! So far, we really enjoy the mattress. It is very firm, this took a little getting used to. And I would also add that I don't feel any different. All of my pains did not magically disappear! However, we do sleep better and like the new mattress. We'll see how it holds out after a year or more.

Several months ago I purchased a Sealy bed from a major bed supplier for $2,000.00 and had a horrible experience with the bed sagging, sink holes, etc. The store did not honor the return within the first l0 days! Needless to say I was very pessimistic in regards to ordering this as it was an online purchase. Because we needed the bed and I did trust the warranty process with Overstock, we finally ordered this and.... We love it! Great bed. Great value. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Provides a great median as far as the support for two people with opposite tastes -- one who likes a firmer mattresses (my partner) and one who likes a little more comfy (me)! No problem with the smell from packing - it disappeared pretty much immediately and the bed unrolled in beautiful shape after shipping........ Wish we would have bought this in the begining!

This is a great value for the money. Less expensive by far than any other place. The Memory Foam is a firm mattress and I bought this for my daughter who prefers a softer mattress so I added the Fearther top to it and it's fine. I did lot of research before buying this mattress and the Memory Foam got higher ratings than regular mattress for comfort as well as value. I do agree that you should not unwrap it before it has been moved into the room that you will be using it. It fluffed up in a matter of minutes but we waited 3 days before using it and there was no smell what so ever.

This is the best bed that i have slept on. its a comfortable bed and its soft to. I would recommend it. the assembly isn't bad either you just unwrap it and let it Grow. when you jump into it, its as if your on a cloud. its just wonderful when i get home from an eleven hour shift. Overall i love it.

Just recieved the bed after much debate. I did not experience the awful smell like some said. I slept on it the same night as opening it. I like the bed alot, but i recommend before buying you go and check one out in stores to see if this is the density you want. Your body melts into it but not soft like a feather bed. More like the bed just forms around your body or you are just making a dented imprint when you lay on it. I like the bed alot but I am going to get a feather topper to go on top of it. Oh and the pillows are awful! Your head sinks into it until it is flat as a sheet! I do not recommend them at all!

I purchased this product 30 days ago and have not had a better knights sleep. I was wakeing up several times at knight, with 4 yo 6 hours sleep and usually had a back ache. I now sleep 7 to 8 hours a knight and usualy do not wake up at all. I also do not have a back ache in the morning.

Much thicker than I pictured in my mind. My fault, didn't get a ruler and give myself actual hieght. Had to put box springs on the floor in order to climb up on it. Extremely difficult to find sheets for. Found some on Overstock up to 20" pockets and they were still very tight. No real support. Way too soft. Great if you like extremely soft. Memory foam on sides of bed seem to stay depressed giving the feeling of slanting off the edge of the bed. Ok if you stay in the middle of the bed. If I had it to do over, would go no higher than the 13 or 14 inch.
