When you hear someone say, "don't buy this bed", I hope you will understand after you read these points.>>>First, the mattress is not made out of true visco-elastic memory foam as it states. The label on the bed says that it is made of 100% polyurethane foam and it feels it. The same size tempur bed weighs 40 pounds more, and that is due to the fact that this bed does not use quality denser visco-elastic memory foam.>>>Second, the mattress never went back to it's original shape. It says it takes upwards of 72 hours to uncompress, but I didn't sleep on it for a week and it never even came close to regaining a rectangular shape. It t come close to the claimed 17 inch height either. It also takes a long time to recover from the sink-hole you are forced to sleep in, and I hope you don't need to sleep two people on this, because you will both sink even more horribly.>>>Third, it has no support, and you sink into it like a cheap waterbed. Being this isn't true memory foam, the bed feels like it is eating you and you sink way down into it. There is no support, so I hope you don't have a bad lower back. I spent a year sleeping on a tempur celebrity bed, and you can't compare the two. The tempur mattress molds to your body based on your body heat and your weight. You just sink way down into this mattress. It offers no resiliency at all and not at all like a tempur bed.>>>Fourth, there is no way to escape the heat generated by this mattress. You will not be able to sleep on it in the warmer months. I sweat from top to bottom even on top of a thick mattress cover in the cold weather. This is not the case with better designed mattresses.>>>I hope you don't waste your money on this thinking you are going to get some of the features of a tempur mattress at a lower cost (like I thought). You will not!!! This should only be advertised as a spare mattress and does not meet the levels of the other products sold by overstock.com. It should sell for half as much. I have tested some of the tempur knock-off mattresses, and this one is far the worst. You would be better off going with another brand that is firmer and better quality. Don't waste your time and money on this one.

This bed is awful. If 2 people sleep in the king size bed you roll to the middle and sink in and have a terrible time getting out. We wake up hurting all over. Think again if you wish to buy this bed ... I would say do not buy it!!!!

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY APPREHENSIVE ABOUT ORDERING THIS MATTRESS FROM YOU BECAUSE OF IT'S NOT SO GOOD REVIEWS, BUT WE HAVE ORDERED MANY PRODUCTS FROM OVERSTOCK THROUGH THE YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED. WHEN IT ARRIVED TO OUR HOME IT LOOKED LIKE A BIG HOT DOG! WE OPENED THE PACKAGING AND IMMEDIATELY IT STARTED TO TAKE SHAPE. WITHIN TEN MINUTES IT WAS FULL BLOWN...THE SMELL WAS MINIMAL...WE SLEPT ON IT THE SAME NIGHT AND WE JUST LOVE IT!!! NO MORE BACK ACHES ..NECK ACHES, JUST BEAUTIFUL SLEEP...WE HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH ROLLING INTO EACH OTHER OR CAVING INTO EACH OTHER ..WE FEEL THIS MATTRESS IS AS GOOD AS THE TEMPUR-PEDIC WE LEFT BACK IN JERSEY...WE BOTH HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MATTRESS TO ANYONE , IT'S WONDERFUL AND THE PRICE IS UNBELIEVABLE! THE ONE AND ONLY PROBLEM I FOUND WITH THIS MATTRESS IS ITS DIFFICULT TO GET SHEET SETS DEEP ENOUGH FOR IT , OTHER THAN THAT IT'S GREAT...SO IF YOUR OUT THERE WONDERING IF YOU SHOULD GIVE THIS A TRY ....GO AHEAD ... I have read the previous reviews of this mattress, and I do not know what they are talking about. I bought this mattress a few months ago after reading the rave reviews for the 14 inch version. I have to admit I was a little nervous as there were no reviews for this particular mattress. Prior to buying the mattress, my wife and I went to a local mattress retailer and tried out several different mattresses, including the TemperPedics. This bed compares to the top of the line TemperPedic mattress that was in the store.The mattress arrived quickly rolled into a cylinder, as stated in the description. We left it wrapped up longer than the description tells you to, but only by a day or two. When we did finally place the mattress on our bed, it very quickly inflated. Within minutes, it was 12 inches deep. By the time we made the bed, it was 15 inches deep, and the last couple of inches were gained within a day or two.As for the quality of the mattress, we could not be happier, especially for the price. The mattress is very comfortable. You feel as if you are melting into it for a few seconds after you lie down, but there is more than adequate support for a restful night's sleep. I do not have back aches or neck aches in the morning. In my old mattress (a Comfortaire air mattress that was over 10 years old), I would wake up after less than six hours of sleep and could feel the onset of muscle pain in my back and neck. On this mattress, I frequently sleep seven or eight hours a night on the weekends and do not have any pain or stiffness in the morning. My one "complaint" is that the bed does sleep "hot," which I knew when I bought it because of several mentions in the reviews on the 14 inch mattress. However, it is not a major problem for me as we generally sleep with the ceiling fan on and I can always kick the covers off. My wife and I both sleep very comfortably in this bed. We cannot feel the other one move and there is adequate support for both of us, despite significant differences in our need for support from a mattress. My five year old daughter has slept with us a few times since getting this mattress, and all three of us can sleep comfortably. My daughter moves around a lot in her sleep and we do not feel her moving on the mattress when she is with us. I have not experienced the sinking in the middle that some other reviews mentioned. I would highly recommend this mattress. It is extremely comfortable, and a very good bargain if you are considering a memory foam mattress.

I wanted to take the time and use the mattress before I gave my thoughts on it. We were very apprehensive about purchasing a mattress online without seeing or first testing the mattress out to see if we liked it. However, with the top of the line mattress at our local furniture store at almost $3000 and our budget being tight- we thought we would give it a whirl. We have had absolutely no regrets about this purchase. My husband has a bad back and is a restless sleeper and this mattress has improved his sleep greatly. Perhaps my favorite feature is that I don't feel him tossing and turning! We are both overweight and have had no issues with indentations in the mattress-so I am surprised to read that others have had this issue. The mattress is firm but comfortable and definitely worth the overstock price! We are so pleased that we will be purchasing 2 additional mattresses for our children within the next few months!

I purchased this mattress after reading the reviews and thought maybe the one bad review about sleeping in a hole was just a random defective product. But after sleeping on the bed for only three weeks my husband was sleeping in a hole. We switched sides and my body was almost flush with the top of the mattress. He layed down next to me (on my side of the bed) and I was sunken in futher than he was, and he weighs a little over twice my weight. So unless you and whoever will be using the mattress weighs around 110lbs, I would not purchase this mattress.I will say that I purchsed a mattress before this one through overstock as well, and I love that one. It's unfortunate that this one has turned out to be such a dud.I must also thank overstock for being so willing to refund my purchase price because the product was defective.
