This has revolutionized how I sleep. The mattress pad holds its own on top of a bed, a futon, or even on the floor. It's durable, light weight, doesn't smell toxic (like the non-eco-friendly versions of memory foam) and it was fast reliable delivery. I've bought this as gifts for loved ones and everyone loved it! Buy this one, you wont be sorry!!!

Unlike many of the other reviewers, I wasn't trying to extend the life of an old mattress. Rather, DH wanted an extra-firm mattress and I need something with a little cushion to avoid sore spots (hips, shoulder). This was the compromise.I took the foam out and let it air out for several days before use. It's been on the bed for a week and it still smells pretty strong. It's not offensive, but it does still smell pretty strong (which means there is some sort of chemical off-gassing that is connecting with my olfactory receptors!). There was a huge, deep rip in the foam when it arrived, but as far as I could tell, the rip wouldn't affect the performance of the foam. It is very heavy, but I was able to move it around by myself. After a few hours, it did puff up to the full 4 inches. It fits the king sized mattress well. I have a hard time making my extra-deep sheets fit over the mattress + the pad. Comforter, as well, doesn't quite hang long enough.I have lower back pain and I was hopeful that the extra support the foam would provide would take care of it. It didn't, but the foam isn't meant to be therapeutic, so I don't hold it against the foam. But, don't expect any miracles. It is very comfy. I'm overall pretty happy with the purchase. If I were going to do this over again, I would buy a 2 or 3 inch. No need to pay the extra money for the 4 inch.

I HAVE TO SLEEP IN A HOSPITAL TYPE BED AND THE MEMORY FOAM TOP WAS A EXCELENT BUY. I CAN STILL ADJUST MY BED THE WAYI WISH AND SLEEP SOUNDLY AND WAKE UP WITHOUT THE TIRED FEELING THAT I WAS USE TO . THE MEMORY FOAM TOPPER IS A GREAT BUY.

We purchased this topper for about 5 weeks now. My wife started to get flu like symptoms from the 3rd night of sleeping on it. She started taking medicine and we thought it was improving when suddenly the symptoms would appear again when she lies in bed at night and waking up in the morning. She would have a severe cough at night and then wake up with severe sinus congestion, body aches, watery eyes, running nose and sneezing. We didn't think it would be the memory foam topper until we slept away from home this passed weekend. Those nights and mornings were surprisingly quiet with absolutely no symptoms at all. But then sleeping back at home, the cough came back at night and of cause the flu like symptoms that morning only with swollen eyes this time. We started to believe it was an allergic reaction to something because the symptoms would come and go and it lasted for weeks so we decided to remove the topper and found it indeed was the issue. Although I didn't have any reaction to the topper but I strongly believe you should take our comment into consideration before purchasing this item as it is not returnable. It is an odd experience for us especially that we do have memory foam pillows purchased from *** and never had any issues with it. Not only did this affect my wife but a week later, my 3 yr old son starting having similar reactions to it.

The site said I should allow 5-10 business days for delivery. It was more like three days. The mattress smelled a little, for sure, but it was big deal. I still was able to sleep on it the day I got it in the mail. I just laid it right down on top of my futon and by the time I was ready for bed it was pretty much at it's full height. I absolutely love sleeping on the topper. It is very comfortable and my lower back has actually been feeling a bit better. I sleep more soundly, deeply, and wake up very rested. I would definitley recommentd this to a friend.
