Overall, it is better than a spring mattress. The overall sleep experience is not as great as it should be for a memory foam bed. A little overpriced compared to a regular mattress of the same size.Read More
I liked the fact that this mattress will not let dust mites live in it. The price was right and I got it delivered very fast. However it is very firm and I needed to place a 3 inch foam on top for comfort. All in all I am happy with it.Read More
My wife and I invested in a tempur-pedic cloud-luxe for our bedroom and our 8 year old loved sleeping in our bed and asked if we could buy her the same mattress. I took a chance on this mattress and hoped it would provide a tempur-pedic like feel for a fraction of the price. It was a good gamble and the mattress is exactly what I was hoping for and more. The anti-bacterial, allergy, and dust mite features also helped my daughter sleep though the night as she has severe allergies. This was a great value for everything that I was looking for. After a week or two the smell subsides and has never been an issue since. I would definitely recommend!!!Read More
I bought this bed for my daughter and she's finally sleeping more soundly. In fact, I laid down with her last night and woke up this morning in her TWIN bed. Didn't even notice there were two of us in there. Such a great sleep for all of us. The foam mattress smell is dissipating as well, though it is still somewhat present. It's been a week, but I suspect it won't be many more days until it's unnoticeable. This is my 2nd foam mattress, so used to this.Read More
I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY GRANDSON WHO IS 12 YEARS OLD. HE COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW HARD IT IS SO I HAD TO BUY AN EGG CRATE MATTRESS TOPPER FOR IT. WE UNROLLED IT IMMEDIATLEY AND LEFT IT FLATTEN OUT FOR 24 HOURS PRIOR TO PUTTING IT ON THE BED. THERE WAS NO BAD ODOR TO IT.Read More
After purchasing a memory foam mattress for ourselves, we wanted to replace our 13 year old son's mattress too. We weren't completely happy with the one we bought (not from Overstock) so I took him shopping in the local mattress stores, so we would have some idea of what we needed. After he chose what he liked, I went to Overstock to search out our options. This one had great reviews and seemed to compare to the Cloud Luxe that had been recommended, I took a chance and ordered it. the price neat every chain store price and when it arrived, I unpacked it and let it sit for 24 hours before putting it on the platform bed. It puffed up so perfectly and it very supportive. My son, who is very picky, loves it! I'm actually thinking about buying another one for our room!Read More
This mattress was purchased as a reasonable alternative to a more expensive memory foam mattress. It has the same feel as our tempurpedic mattress when it was brand new. I assume, as was with the tempurpedic mattress, that the mattress softens a bit after time. The mattress arrived rolled up, 'sprang' to shape exactly as described, and was light enough to maneuver without great difficulty. It does not have a fancy covering over the foam but rather a typical mattress protector type cover. There was a mild odor to the mattress but it dissipated within a few days to a week. I recommend this purchase.Read More
I love memory foam beds, and they're the only types of beds I have in my house now. This is my 2nd Comfort Dreams purchase. I like firm mattresses and this one is equally firm to my Comfort Dreams double bed. With so many people having allergy issues (including myself), I love that this bed is is designed for allergy sufferers. The mattress is a great value, too. I will continue to purchase this brand/type of bed as I continue to furnish various rooms once the addition/remodel is complete on my home.Read More
I have not slept on this, just tested it out. I think they are very comfortable. Puffed up right away and I never smelled any odor from the foam. I'll see what the others think in a few weeks. They are for a guest area.Read More

How to Buy Sheets to Fit a Pillow-Top Mattress
Everyone knows that pillow-top mattresses are designed for additional softness and comfort. Due to the padding, pillow-top mattresses have more depth than regular mattresses. The height of the padding varies, but generally, manufacturers make pillow-top mattresses in depths varying from 7 to 22 inches. Specially made deep-pocket sheets for pillow-top mattresses are available; however, it is important to know the depth of your mattress before purchasing sheets. Here's how to buy the best sheets to fit your pillow-top mattress.
How to Clean Down Featherbeds
Down featherbeds provide an additional layer of comfort between you and your mattress. If your bed produces more aches and pains than dreams, a featherbed is a good solution. Featherbeds should last for many years, depending on the quality of the feathers, properties of the cover and use. This article should help you get a grasp on how to clean down featherbeds.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
Best Reasons to Have a California King Bed
Similar in size to a standard king bed, a California king bed is four inches longer, allowing a lot of extra room top to bottom. A California king bed measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long, and a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, so while a California king mattress is four inches longer, it is also about four inches thinner than a standard king bed. Making a decision between the two might be difficult. Ultimately, both are great options, but there are a few conditions that might make a California king size bed the clear choice. Before you pick which king mattress is right for you, here are a few of the best reasons to choose a California king bed.
