My husband and I weren't sure if we would like a foam mattress after laying on them at mattress stores, and several thousands of dollars is a rather expensive way to find out. So, when I saw this for under $500, I figured it was a great way to find out!It came very quickly, packed very well, and we have been using it about 2 weeks now. We do like foam mattresses, and I am now thinking about upgrading to a thicker one. This one IS very thin. It is only about 6", and on our box springs, we have a VERY low bed now. It is comfortable, though, and we have a lot less aches and pains. So, bottom line, if you are experimenting to see if you would like a foam mattress or not, this is the way to go. If you already know you like a foam mattress, spend a little more and get one of the thicker ones offered here.Read More
Not only did it take a lot less time for the mattress to decompress to it's full size, but it's even more comfortable than we could have hoped! We've slept on tempurpedic mattresses before but they were not this comfortable! I would recommend this product to anyone.Read More
I haven't slept so good in years... this is by far the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on.I don't get up at nights anymore.. Even has quited by husbands snoring!!! the 8 inch is perfect size.Read More
It is much firmer than you would think it would be. I like it that way, but am mentioning it in case you don't like firm. It has a very nice outer cover. I was going to get the 11 inch but read a review saying that was a little too thick for standard sheets. 8 inches is right. Of course, you need something under it - I used our old Select Comfort bottom support and the whole thing is in our old water bed frame. It's just the right height this way.I made a boo boo by unwrapping it (a king size) on the front porch and had to wait for husband to come home to help me drag it through the house! I suggest you unwrap it in the room you are going to put it in.Read More

Never thought I would love this mattress and assumed it would be just ok based on the price. Have been sleeping on it four 4 months.......my husband was skeptical at first but loves it as well!Read More
I would recommend a foam mattress to everyone, was wonderful when we first received this mattress, and probably for the first 2 years. But, year 3 and 4 have been awful. My back is in so much pain. The mattress has just simply gone flat it no longer returns to its original shape. My wife and I are both having huge issues, might as well be sleeping of the floor. I am now in the market for a new mattressRead More

Top 5 Reasons to Own a Memory Foam Topper
If you like to sleep well, nothing will help you quite like a memory foam topper. Memory foam mattress toppers can turn any bed into a place of dreamy, soft comfort. There are a lot of reasons to own memory foam toppers, and everyone has a different motive for owning one. Not sure if you need a memory foam mattress topper? These reasons may change your mind.
How to Choose a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
Memory foam, also called "temper foam," was first developed by NASA in the mid-1960s to ensure passenger comfort and protection in airplane seats. Memory foam mattress toppers mold to the body, and then slowly spring back to their original shape. This makes them ideal for those with back or joint pain. However, not all memory foam mattress toppers are the same. Here's how to choose one that will best suit your needs.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

How to Clean a Memory Foam Mattress Topper
When you're deep cleaning your home, you may want to pay special attention to your bed. A memory foam mattress topper can completely transform even the most uncomfortable mattress, but accidents do happen, and an accumulation of dust in even the most comfortable bed can prevent a good night's sleep. If it's time to freshen up your mattress topper, you may be wondering how it's done. Memory foam absorbs water while it is being washed; however, it is possible to wash it efficiently.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.
Air Mattresses vs Memory Foam Mattresses
With so many different types of mattresses available, it can be difficult for buyers to decide which one will best suit their needs. Two of the most popular mattress construction technologies are air-filled cores and memory foam. When comparing these two products, consider price, comfort and durability before making a final selection.
Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress
A decade ago, choosing a memory foam mattress was easier because there were so few brands and options. However, as the prices of memory foam mattresses have dropped, more brands have begun producing memory foam bedding, and choosing the right mattress has become more challenging. However, one factor remains constant throughout the different brands: memory foam density. Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Knowing a little about the different densities of memory foam mattresses can simplify the buying process and help you find the memory foam mattress that's right for you.
