I owned a latex mattress in the past, and decided to try a foam mattress. The prices in retail stores were ridiculously high - and after reading prevoius reviews, we thought we should give this model a try. It arrived within seven days without any delivery complications. Once it was cut out of its travel bag, we were surprised how quickly if began to expand. The mattress is quite thick and luxurious! It has a fair amount of give, and envelops you when you lay down. To add additional softness, we are using an additional mattress pad, but this really isn't necessary. The mattress includes a nice cover as well. Very high end mattress for only a price that overstock can offer. Thanks!

The mattress came in record time. It was packed in a black canvas duffle. It was very heavy so I do not recommend one person moving it alone. Upon taking the cover off, we laid it out on the wooden frame and it "poofed" out very quickly...actually was ready to sleep on in about 4 hours. The only thing I would say was unexpected was the firmness of the mattress. It is VERY firm and it takes a while to get used to it. It is NOT soft like the advertisements on TV or like the 2 inch pads you can purchase in the store. It is very firm. It took us about 2 weeks to acclimate ourselves to it and now we love it. It's a very comfortable mattress and an excellent value. Also I would recommend making plans before it arrives to have your bedframe raised. It is not as high as my old boxsprings and mattress.

I was a little hesitant purchasing a mattress online that is non refundable once opened and that I had never even sat on to test out. No worries!!! This mattress is amazing, especially for the price. We received the mattress 7 days after ordering online. It arrived rolled up like an area rug, deflated and in a cover (like what you put a sleeping bag in). It took about a half hour to reach 12 inches and a couple days to get to 14 inches. The memory foam mattress is already enclosed in a nice cover that can be removed for cleaning. It doesn't tell you that in the description. I noticed a lot of reviews call this mattress firm. I disagree. It's neither firm nor soft, just differently perfect. My husband and I are "soft" bed kind of people and hate firm mattresses. We noticed the memory foam "swallows" you appropriately leaving no pressure points. So for us, that means it's soft. Now it doesn't bounce back when you jump on it, so in that way I guess you would call it firm. I'm a side, belly and back sleeper and the bed is perfectly comfortable in all positions. My husband likes to sleep on his side with his arm and leg on me which got painfully heavy on our old mattress. With the new mattress, I just sink a little more in and I don't feel the weight of his body on top of mine. We both wake up without aches and have a full nights sleep. My only regret is that I wished we would have bought this mattress sooner. We looked into the other top of the line name brands and just couldn't see the point in spending thousands of dollars on a bed. This was our first memory foam bed and we will hopefully never have another spring mattress ever again. I now understand why people pay thousands of dollars for a memory foam mattress, because they are worth it! Thank you Overstock for saving us so much money!! Please don't change your ways! As for the bad odor other's had mentioned, neither of us noticed any bad odors coming from the mattress. I strongly recommend this mattress, you won't be disappointed!

My husband and I were very skeptical about purchasing a mattress via the internet. But after spending practically hours reading all the reviews from other Memory Foam mattresses, I had made up my mind. Along with the mattress, we also purchased the Natural Featherbed and Cover Set, as another buyer had suggested. I cannot tell you how wonderful this combination is - plus the feathers don't poke through. Even without the featherbed, the mattress sleeps like a dream. We were able to use our old box springs with the mattress as well, which saved us some money. The only problem I foresee is finding fitted sheets that will fit this thicker mattress. Other than that, this mattress is well worth it. Many other reviewers have mentioned the odor, but it goes away within a few days after opening. Also, it's nice having it delivered to your home!

I am happy with this mattress. It has it advantages and drawbacks. Info: I am 6-7 tall and 240 pounds. Mattress used for over 3 months. 1) Comfort - I came off a hybrid water bed which i liked to get a little more support. This mattress is quite firm. I weigh 240 and I still say the mattress is firm. If you are are expecting a cush mattress that you sink into this is not your mattress. 1a) This is a foam mattress that does not have some of the newer features like holes in the foam or space between foam cores. That means heat. If you have a problem with heat, especially if you live in a warm climate like I do and do not have your room set pretty cool. you might want to think hard about this purchase. 1b) If you are a back sleeper i think you will love this mattress. I sleep on my side a lot and the firmness on some nights make me wish i had my waterbed back. Once again i am 240 lbs so i do put a dent in the mattress. Maybe i will get used to this long term 2) Construction - the mattress seems well made. Even with my weight i have seen no sign that the mattress was not springing back to its original shape. This was one of my biggest fears when buying this inexpensive of a mattress. 2a) The cover of the mattress may be a long term problem for some since it is off white in color and has a fuzzy fleece like top. I think you need to make sure you use a good mattress cover and take care of it if that is an issue to you. 2) Heat again. I put a heavily padded mattress cover on the mattress to see if the heat could be tamed. I think this has helped a little but not a lot. 3) Price - The mattress is now $60 less than when i bought i and i consider it a buy at my price. If you are willing to take the risk of buying a mattress thru the net without trying it out, I dont think you can go wrong with this mattress. Things to consider. 1) heat 2) firmness 3) if you have a tall foundation that you want to put the mattress on and you are short you might want to reconsider or buy one of the new short foundations. On my waterbed foundation i sometimes feel like i am getting into a bunk bed and i am 6.7 ft tall. 4) Oh, last thing along with heat is cool. If you have the mattress in a cool room the bed is cold when you 1st get in but due to the heating of the foam you will be toasty in a few minutes.

There are many things I like about this mattress- incredibly comfortable, I have not slept this well in years. However I did find that the smell took a long, long time to dissapate. I have a sensitive sniffer and so I left it in the spare room for a week before putting it in my bedroom. Even so, another two weeks later it still had what I would describe as " new car smell", or even new car exhaust smell. Last night was the first night I didn't notice it. II have recommended it to a neighbor and she tried it and said she did not notice the smell, so this comment only applies to those of you who are very sensitve to odors. If so, I'd suggest letting the mattress air - top and bottom- for a couple of weeks. The other thing I would say is that 14" depth is overkill, go for 10 or 12" unless you really like a tall bed.

I purchased this mattress eight months ago. At first it was extremely comfortable and we were very satisfied. After a few months we noticed that the memory form on either side of the mattress was losing resistance and there was a hump in the middle of the bed.After eight months we have gotten rid of it. The mattress does not support us at night - to the extent that we had to sleep on pillows to avoid lower back pain.Since the mattress has no warranty, we're out the purchase price of the bed. Overstock was nice enough to give me a 10% credit, but I would have preferred a mattress that lasted longer than eight months.

I bought this mattress with a 10% plus an additional 10% off PLUS free shipping - great deal, huh? Unfortunately, less than a month after it's arrival, my side began to collapse. I am NOT a heavy girl (I'm not a toothpick, either) - 140 lb 5'5". My fiance's side is fine - he is 200 lb, 5'11"! This sinkhole was NOT tolerable. Fortuantely, Overstock.com will either refund or replace it for me. Right now, I'm leaning toward a refund - my friend bought the king 14", and hers is doing the same thing!!

Prior to the purchase of this Memory Foam Mattress I would wake during the night and in the morning with shoulder and hip pain. I now sleep better through out the night and wake in the morning with out the shoulder and hip discomfort. Hopefully, over time, this continues. Very easy to set up. We opened it up in the morning and slept on it that same night. We looked at the same type of mattress at local furniture stores but the price put them out of reach. Excelent price at OverStock.com.

I am an Engineer by profession. I have never owned any other memory foam mattress. The known brand was out of my budget. I decided to go with Overstock. I am extremely happy with my purchase experience (I am not talking about product yet) at Overstock.com. Product was delivered quickly. My wife was able to open the package on her own without any problem. Mattress expended to full nearly 14" height in just couple of hours. We did not notice any smell. The reason I ordered 14" is because I wanted to get the best quality of what Overstock was offering. However, after using the product for over 2 weeks, I do think that memory for is only top 4" layer in this mattress. 2nd layer does not feel/look like memory foam. If that's true then I think 4" memory foam topper sold by Overstock.com would have done the job. I do not regret purchase but I do think it would have been just fine if I had purchased 10" mattress instead of 14" mattress. The reason being 10" mattress has 3" of memory foam layer on the top and that would have been just sufficient. I have owned this for couple of weeks now. Sleeping experience has been mixed so far. I don't have any backache but does not seem to get very sound sleep either. Though I have other things that I am worried about and that may be to reason for not getting sound sleep. Leading manufacturer guarantees if mattress height reduces by 1" over next 10 years, they will replace the mattress for free. Not sure what kind of warranty this mattress has. Anyways, I feel I am anyway between 3 and 4 star rating. So to be on conservative side, I will give this mattress 3 stars. Hope this helps.

This mattress is a good value and has provided us with great rest. My husband is actually dreaming again, which means he is able to reach that deep sleep cycle. Two suggestions: The 14" mattress will NOT fit deep pocket sheets. We bought the queen size, purchased sheets that boast "will fit up to an 18" mattress", and the fitted sheet doesn't come close to the correct size. We purchased deep pocket king sheets which are too wide, but barely long enough to fit. Also, the memory foam pillows may be something to purchase as well.

After reading some of the other reviews about this mattress going bad i decided to submit my opinion i am a very large person 6' about 300 lbs and i have had my mattress for just over 2 years and we have never had to flip this mattress or anything and it still gives us the same great support as it always has i would highly reccomend this mattress to anyone interested in a memory foam mattress and you cant be the Overstock price and quality of service

This bed did not feel like 8 inches of foam plus 3 and 3 of memory.You can't return the bed so I took it apart and guess what, it's not 8 + 3 & 3.My bed was 9.5 inches of foam and 1 single maybe 3-inch memory.The extra 3-inch of memory is worth about $100 dollars, so this bed is definitelynot worth the money if you have to buy another topper to make up the difference.

After a long period of vacillation, I sprung for this mattress, and I have slept better in the past week than I have in several years. The mattress itself did not have the "memory-foam smell" I had heard about, and it came to its full size very quickly. Very highly recommended.

we slept on a memory foam mattress on vacation and fell in love with it! Our host told us she bought her mattress on Overstock, so we started looking and comparing prices. We bought the bed on Overstock for a really good price with no shipping. It arrived on time and in great condition. We set it up and slept on it that night. My husband is a large man and he was having trouble with his arms getting numb while he slept, the doctor said it was pressure points. Since we have had our bed(about 1 week) he has slept like a baby, without numb arms or hands. It seems that we made a great choice. I have recommended it to my brother(who has arthritis)and also my nephew who has had arthirits since his youth.

When I first got the mattress 6 weeks ago it felt a little strange sleeping on it. It is very different that an interspring mattress. I noticed after a few days the leg cramps I had been having went away. It took about a month for me to get used to this mattress. I have to say now I love it. I find I am getting up earlier and not at all tired. When I get up I don't have all the little aches and pains I used to and I really feel refreshed. I like everyone else was very worried about buying a mattress this way especially with a no return policy. I read the reviews and so many were positive I went for it and I am glad I did. It was easy to set up, no odor its not quite 14 inches as stated but it does not matter its comfortable. Its a firm mattress and at the same time soft to lay in. It is well worth the money. Its not the brand name but it is a really great sleep. I am satisfied and have recommended this mattress to a friend with back problems. My old mattress cost more than twice this 15 years ago. So if you need a mattress , this is a good choice. Just give yourself a little time to adjust and you will be happy you made the leap of faith.

I am very disappointed in this product. The ad says it is 6 inches of memory foam, yet when it arrived it only had 3inches. Not as soft as it should be.

It took awhile, but finally, after much research and apprehension, I ordered the memory foam mattress. Here is my experience: ~I purchased the mattress using the ten percent off coupon Overstock sent me. Great bargain! ~ It arrived in about 5 days! (I was in the middle of coloring my hair so I didn't answer the door! haha). The DHL guy left it on my front porch. ~It was wrapped on the outside in Heavy Duty Black Plastic (no duffel bag with handles like some reported). ~I left it in the living room unopened for two days waiting for my husband to get a piece of subflooring board cut to go over our boxsprings before putting the memory foam on top. While waiting, I looked up the negative reviews on Overstock (I don't reccommend this) and had buyers remorse before even opening and trying out the mattress! (why do I worry so much?!). ~I got tired of waiting for my husband (handyman is not his gifting) and told my 13 year old son, "Come on, we're going to just open the package and put it directly on top of our 8 year old box spring. He was more than up for the adventure. We cut open the outer black plastic with sissors (just slid it down using one blade; on the seam side like the directions told us to do). Inside we found it was wrapped in the clear shrink wrap plastic. We carried it unopened to the bedroom (very easy) and laid it on the boxspring (making sure the zipper would be accessible) and cut away the clear plastic. ~There was NO SMELL like others have reported. ~It rose to it's full position (14 inches) within an hour or two. ~It looked EXACTLY like the picture on Overstock. ~It felt luxurious and cushy. (The bottom section is firm, but I find the memory foam topper section cushy and nice!). ~It was easy to put on my mattress pad and sheets - apparently, mine were the right size, deep pockets, thankfully! ~The mattress seems easy to move and manuver (NOT like a big piece of jelly like someone else reported). ~It is completely fine on top of our boxspring with no extra board inbetween. ~My husband and I slept on it the first night. I awoke free from the usual back aches I was having from my other mattress. My husband offered no complaints except he felt a little warm (his body temp. tends to run hot), but he just kicked off the comforter and was fine. ~I find I can still sleep on my side and stomach, but on my back is the best of all; I couldn't do that before without waking up with pain (my back is so darn curvy and our former mattress was just too firm for me). ~I have come into my bedroom occasionally to find either my teenage daughter or son taking a siesta on our new mattress. They think it's wonderful. ~I would buy this mattress again. It's a bargain for the price, in my opinion, especially with an Overstock coupon. I'm glad it looked exactly like the picture and is comfortable. I would not have been happy if I got something that didn't look like what was advertised! ~My initial apprehension was completely unwarranted. I am a satisfied and happy customer. I would recommend this mattress. Thank you Overstock.

My old mattress was less than 12 years old, but my back was hurting every day. I thought of getting another convention mattress but thought there must be something to this memory foam business. So far, I'm v. glad I took a chance! Price is incredible compared to what you'd have to pay in a store and I wake up every morning with a pain-free back. Even my cats like this mattress! Be aware, however, if, like me, you're putting this on slats on a platform bed, and not using any type of box spring: you'll need something called a bunkie board to support the mattress on the slats. I am an Air Force officer and have remained in outstanding shape since my tenure. I decided to treat myself to a memory foam mattress because the best sleep I've ever experienced during my adulthood was on a tempurpedic mattress. The shipment of this memory foam mattress by a California manufacturer was quick and dropped off right at my front door. I lugged the 100lb packaged mattress upstairs on my own and unwrapped it. The unwrapping portion was a challenge but the mattress expanded instantaneously. To my surprise, the mattress took its full shape within one hour. It is slightly larger than the standard Queen boxspring frame by 1.5 inches, but it is not too noticeable and I was content. The display picture posted on the website is misleading. It is not a pillowtop mattress, it is merely a thick memory foam with a cover that makes the mattress appear as it if has an additional pillowtop layer. I have not had a single night's rest since sleeping on the mattress. It is actually stiff and does not take the shape of my body. The foam does not sink in and my joints are tired when I wake up because foam is resisting the weight of my limbs. It is as if I'm sleeping on the floor, yes, that stiff! I wake up each morning at 0400 to report to work by 0600 and continue until 2300. I invested in a memory foam so that the 5 hours of rest I get each night would be as heavenly as the times I've slept on a tempurpedic. This memory foam is not architected the same way as the Tempurpedic brand. If you have chronic neck and back pain because of your current mattress, you may want to consider investing the full amount in the actual brand or one of those expensive pillowtops that control motion and weight. I am dissatisfied with my mattress and have no way to return it. I still wake up with deep upper back and middle back aches as well as neck creaks due to uneven weight distribution.
