Where the base connects the two legs, the metal is all bent and warped. The legs do not fit togther smoothly, and at the base, where the curve starts into the legs, the chrome is dull and tarnished. There is a chipped piece of chrome on the inside of the base. Looks good, but just don't get too close where you can see the terrible quality. I am returning. Very disappointed, considering all the great reviews. :(

These are great tables for the price! I ended up spraying them matte nickel and they are just wonderful!

I bought this table as an addition to our living room. It matches the nickel plated coffee and end tables that I bought at a different store. It is very sturdy and fits well on the side of the loveseat.

I saw a similar product elsewhere and was coveting it. Then I saw these - for about a third of the price! Quality was great and assembly was a snap. They are perfect. The black metal definitely gives the impression of black, but nickel does show through in some spots if you're up close - if that matters to you.

Love these little tables. I painted them in a nickel spray paint to match our modern decor. They are the perfect addition to the living room. One negative, the legs aren't the straightest (one bends in slightly at an angle). So, it may bother you. With two tables, we figured we would be the only ones to notice as we put them together :)

These tables arrived promptly and were very well packaged. After getting them unwrapped assembly is quite easy. Flipping them right-side up is a bit tricky as they are very top heavy due to the thickness of the glass tops. My only disappointment was that the bases are shinier than I expected; I assumed they had a brushed nickel finish. But still a great addition to my contemporary decor!

We bought both this and the larger round table. Easy to assemble, very sturdy. heavy glass. Nice transitional appearance. dark steel metal - blends easily with any of the stainless, brushed nickel range of metals. Very good value. Highly recommend.

I bought this table because the sectional that I am pairing it with is very low to the ground. When it arrived, the table was just too low. It was the size indicated in the description but just didn't work once it was in its place. It was perfect otherwise so I ordered 6 inch brushed nickel legs and raised it to a more comfortable height. It was too nice for the price to send back. It is perfect now!

We decided to revamp one of our guest bedrooms as we were expecting a lot of family to come in for Nov/Dec. Ended up going with a brushed nickel headboard, and needed to get a side table/nightstand to match. This fit the bill, and it looks great. The price is very reasonable for what you are getting, and it was fairly easy to put together. It was very well packed, no damages. We anticipate having this for a long time.

Bought this along with the smaller round table. easy to assemble. Perfect fit for all parts. Works well in a transitional setting. Good size, steel finish blends well with stainless and brushed nickel.. A reviewer criticized the appearance of the clear little rubber pads that hold the glass top onto the metal frame and prevent from slipping. Not a problem at all. How else are you going to stabilize it ? Highly recommend this purchase. Arrived very quickly. Well packed for shipping.

This review is past due...I have had this table since September now and I am very happy with it! It is the perfect size and style for my foyer, and I have received many compliments on it. I placed an oval mirror above it which works well, and the piece does look like it cost more money than it truly did. The espresso wood is very dark...almost black, which I am OK with. Also, like other reviewers said, the hardware is more of an antiqued bronze as opposed to a nickel. The detailing is impressive and the table has an overall unique look. If you are thinking of buying I wouldn't hesitate!

I bought a pair of these to use as nightstands in my master bedroom. They are heavy solid wood, no veneers. Hand painted scrolling motif with an distressed / antiqued paint. Great details with ball feet, brushed nickel pulls, etc. The color is definitely more of an aqua green than an aqua blue, however thanks to others reviews, I already knew that. The boxes were a bit banged up when they arrived on my door, but thanks to excellent packaging no scrapes, dents, chips were to be found. Overstock is the most amazing company! Almost free shipping - no tax - and quality products!

This table is perfect next to my rolled arm sofa. It is not a high end piece of furniture but it looks great. I like the tray but moved it to sit on the ottoman which can double as a coffee table. One person can put it together (even a female). I had to think about the directions and study a bit but I did the whole thing by myself once I figured out how it went togther. The directions were good but the illustrations were what helped the most. There was still a smell of the stain when the table was unpacked but it went away after a couple of days. The knob on the drawer is ugly which is why I only gave it a 4 star rating. I changed to knob to a brushed nickel knob to match the rest of the room and it looks much better. I happened to have one left from kitchen cabinets. I reccommend changing the knob.

Since we recently bought a ginormously high bed, I had been searching for tables that would serve as night stands but still stand up to the giganticness of our bed. These work perfectly! They are tall enough and just wide enough to stand up to the bed without overpowering the space. Probably worth mentioning--these are not a high-gloss black. The black is kind of dull and actually appears more like a very dark charcoal. They are black--just not a saturated black. I will also change out the drawer knobs (brushed nickel) for something a little grander. I think just that simple change will make the tables even more attractive. Super easy assembly (and extremely well packaged). Very sturdy. Great deal!

This table is the perfect size for my narrow foyer, it almost disappears which keeps the space looking wide & open. We use have a low lamp on it as well as a glass bowl for keys, change etc, and it fits the description perfectly. It's not the most sturdy piece, but easily fixed w some felt sticky add-ons to level legs... (Think, slightly wobbling table at restaurant, waiter puts a coaster under leg, all fixed!) Great bang for your buck! As much as I liked the chrome it didn't match my hardware, so I even spray painted it satin nickel & it still looks flawless! Overall, would buy it again, highly recommended for said use above.

I've had this table for over a year now. It's always gotten compliments, and no one believes that it's from Overstock, or how inexpensive it was. I have a slobbery mastiff, and her "visits" wipe off easily. The finish comes looking perfectly aged, but we've seen that mishaps like tossed keys add a patina that blends perfectly. I was finally ready for a bit of an upgrade, so today I spray-painted the frame (not the table-top) with Rustoleum Universal Metallic in Satin Nickel. The table was great before, but I'm lightening some of my decor. I have to say that it took the spray paint perfectly. I wiped the legs down with acetone before starting, but didn't need to sand at all. Not knocking the original black at all, just happy to report that it's very DIY-able. This is the cheapest piece of furniture I've bought that I expect to own for this long!!

This cute little table was exactly what I wanted to coordinate with brushed nickel drapery hardware and furniture legs. It arrived in good condition, well packaged, with all parts, but the monkeywood top had a deep gouge and almost a scribble in its finish. Plus a little nick on the side. Okay, I addressed these with Olde English furniture polish (dark), and a little marker on the nick. Was not happy with that. Carrying on, the frame went together quick, but the next 2 hours were spent trying in vain to fasten the top to the frame with the 4 bolts. Only 3 would work, and it didn't matter which 3. I took it all apart and started over; I tested each bolt in the hole of the top without the frame and all four went inn fine, but under no circumstances on this day were 4 bolts going into this table. Realizing the futility of continuity this course, I found a screw in my hardware jar and used that finally. It's not perfect, at all. You know, when you have an experience like this, you just have a bad feeling whenever you look at the product. I might end up tossing it out because of that. I was going to put it in the guest room, but how embarrassing if it fails for a guest. How can you trust it over a couch;? So despite being the right style, I would say buy a different table.

This table is being used as a nightstand opposite the "3-drawer Mirrored Accent Table" also offered on Overstock. That table is awesome, and so is this one. I did see this for sale on another retailer's website which offers much more ornate and expensive furniture, and it did, of course, cost much more. This table makes a great nightstand (as long as you're OK with no drawers) against dark chocolate brown bedroom furniture with brushed nickel dresser hardware. It does have to be assembled, which was so easy even I could do it (!), and looks much more pricey than it is. One of the legs did arrive broken where the mirrored part ends and the wooden, silver-painted part begins, but Overstock Customer Service was great and got a new leg out to me pretty quickly. Honestly, I'd already wood-glued and clamped the two pieces together and assembled the table by then, and positioned it so the repaired leg is towards the wall, but when I feel like taking it apart thought I'd buy mirrored furniture, but it's actually a classy look that feminizes the dark, more masculine, traditional furniture in the master bedroom. Plus it freaks out the cats when they catch a glimpse of themselves - free entertainment!
