This product is cheesy-looking in real life. It is photographed well so as to give it more depth and make it appear more substantial. In reality it is made out of very thin scraps of metal. The "silver" metal-looking arms are actually just painted that color and it is obvious. The only reason I did not return it is b/c the person I bought it for needs something that exact size for the space and will mount it in a dimly lit area so that it looks better.
This wall art looks really cheap. It looks nothing like the picture. The second hand fell off the clock and is easily bendable. The actual clock part did not work and the paint chips off easily.
I love this clock. It is very unique in design and goes well with the iron work banister that it is hung next to. The only problem I had is the hanger screws do not line up vertical, but I still able to hang it without a problem.
Even though I read the dimensions on the item description, I didn't expect the actual clock face to be as large is it is - not a complaint, just a surprise. At first I was a bit put off - but after only 2 days it has really grown on me and I really like it. So far it keeps ridiculously good time and I love the 3-d effect of this piece. I don't feel it's as "cheap looking" as some others have described. It's an odd, oversized piece and for the money this is well worth it. The clock has a sweep second-hand, and you can hear it tick - some may not like that - for me it's not a problem, as it is fairly high up in a large room - and it looks great there, too.
