The product is solid, and has a quality look and feel when completed but it is not an easy assembly even for a regular purchaser or "some assembly required" furniture.
I am very happy with my new lateral file cabinet. It appears to be sturdy and matches my other cherry office furniture well. Seems like it was a good value for the money.
I bought this for my husbands office and I'm so glad that he is an engineer -the instructions were basic, at best and it took several hours to put together. It now looks good and matches the other furniture but I would hesitant to buy anything by this manufacturer again.

I was able to assemble this file with no problems. I was only disappointed that a few of the outer pieces had minor packing damage. I am fairly handy and repaired these parts since they did not affect the workmanship strength. This is a piece that is inexpensive so overall it is a good product. The file drawers have very good slide mechanisms.
This unit arrived in flat carton - it needed total assembly. The difficulty of assembly greatly influences my overall review. Now assembled, it looks good and is serving its purpose.
