This was a very poorly made piece of furniture. It is veneer, and as such, is not solid wood, but pressboard and very cheap plywood. I had to realign the doors and reset the clasp locks.
That being said, Overstock could not have been nicer about fixing my problems and making everything right. I am very happy with the final product, and the way everything was handled. I just think it would be unfair to say it was hunky dorey on my doorstep.
This is the first problem I've ever had with an Overstock order, and I've order a hundred things. It is very reassuring to know they handle problems like the customer is the King. Can't ask for more. They didn't make the thing . They only sold it. And then, they stood behind it like they made it.
I expected a better quality piece for the price.
The back piece of wood arrived cracked and damaged, but that is probably the shippers fault.
There is no assembly which was nice, and it looks pretty good. BE aware that the armoire is 5' 6" tall.
The assembly of the armoire was very simple. I really like the armoire and am enjoying using it. It is not top of the line material but it serves my purpose quite well. The size is perfect for what I need and it fits quite well in my bedroom. I am pleased with my purchase. I have recommended others to the company because I feel that this is a great way to purchase good products.
