I bought the complete bedroom set last week, it arrived in less than one week. The guy who brought the shipment said we have to accept it and we cannot examine it or refuse shipment. thankfully it was in perfect shape. It is a light colored wood, it is moderately heavy. It is generally hard wood, but the head and foot boards of the bed are very cheap, thin plywood within a hard wood frame. Guests will notice this. Also all the joints within the chest, dresser and nightstand are either stapled or nailed, there are no quality dovetail joints. Shipping was only $2.50 and there was no tax; so it was about $500-600 less than a comparable set from a retailer. Overall, I have seen better and I have seen worse. I would recommend it for the price.

I am really impressed with our new bedroom furniture. It is heavy and thick. The color is a nice shade, though I do prefer a darker wood. The furniture was packaged well. There are hidden drawers in all of the pieces (except the bed). I love those drawers!!! We are so happy with our new furniture. Excellent value!

I liked it a lot. I just don't understand how you can ask to return something when everything is boxed up? The people don't even bring it in your home. I would have paid extra not only for them to put it in my house but assemble it. Anyway. It looks beautiful, the only little hassle was trying to get the mirror on. The only thing I didn't realize was that you def need a queen size mattress to fit this sleigh bed boards. I just ended up needing to buy a bigger box spring. Other than that it came in a quick amount of time and I was very impressed with how it looks. I would recommend anyone buying this set. You just need a man to put it together, taking the furniture out of the boxes were tiresome, but if you have help you should be fine.

the reason I only gave 3 stars is because 2 piecescamein damaged, the top corner of one and the side of one other. Beside that, love it looks great...

This is not a bad set for the price. True to the other reviews, the finish scratches easily and the head/footboard are made of a very thin plywood. As another reviewer stated, you will need a bed skirt to hid the support under the bed. That being said, this set does look nice once everything is set-up, and the price is good for the number of items you get. It is is bit lighter than other cherry furniture, and a bit more on the orange side. Several of the pieces did arrive damaged (cracked, in fact), but Overstock handled the replacements quickly and efficiently (Overstock Customer Service was excellent!!!!). My advice is that if any of the boxes appear damaged, open them and inspect before signing.

Finish scratches easily and materials are low quality. Price was better in local store by a few hundred dollars. Looks OK from a distance but close inspection reveals tht this is a cheaply made product.

Outstanding design and quality, I love the hidden drawers. The bed was easy to put together but the mirror was a two man job.

This is veneer furniture. If you understand that, you'll be very happy. It is beautiful in appearance. Very elegant, and it is a tremendous price, especially given free delivery and no sales tax. I can easily recommend this furniture. As you can see, I had trouble with the matching armoire, and Overstock stood behind it 1000%. So, if you have a problem, which can easily happen in shipping, you'd be well taken care of, given my experience.
