After receiving a defective refurbished vacuum I thought I should do a little more research on vacuums and spend a little more for a better product. The Cirrus was compared to the Riccar but this was listed for much less so I was excited to see it on Overstock and decided to get it...what a disappointment. After 1/2 hour of using this vacuum I put it back in the box. The worst part of this vacuum is that the head of the vacuum tilts downward and makes it extremely difficult to vacuum carpet (at any height). I had to lean back on the vacuum to push it forward and then pull it back in order to clean my carpet. I never had to do this even with the cheapest of vacuums out there. The foot pedal to switch from carpet to hard wood floors is a cheap plastic part...actually all the plastic parts on this vacuum is on the low end. The extension wand to clean above the floor was difficult to use. I feel there should have been metal part included in this area for it work with less effort. What made me get it was the fact it was a bagged vacuum with HEPA filtration, it has a metal agitator, the bristles on the agitator are softer than most of the vacuums out there, and the dusting tool is made of horse hair. However, overall the hype on this vacuum is not what it adds up to be. If you do not have any carpet in your house this may be the vacuum for you. Otherwise, do not waste your money or your time.
