Great looking, great quality, the only thing I think could have improved on this lamp is that they should have added screws to lock the legs to a desired length. The legs can be adjusted in height, so the screw it came with don't tighten well enough to stay in place. The lamp fell one day because one of the the legs got shorten so it couldn't balance (it didn't break) so my husband simply inserted a screw/nail at a 90 degree angle to the connecting point of the legs and now it stays in place.

Thank you for inquiring about the Cinema Studio Floor Prop Light with Tripod Lamp. This lamp uses a 60 watt bulb. As far as a good reading lamp, that's up to you, if you feel 60 watts is enough. I like at least 75 personally. Thanks for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 18, 2014

I don't see the cord in the picture. What do you mean when you say that it is included in the bottom of the lamp? Does it hang down in the middle of the legs or is it invisible through one of the legs? A loose cord hanging down would detract from the lamp. Could you show how it hangs in the picture, please?missskeptical on Apr 19, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you missskeptical for the oppurtunity to help you with your question. The Cinema Studio Floor Prop Light with Tripod Lamp. We do not have any other pictures of the lamp to show how the chord is hanging off of it. According to the manufacturer the chord is hung off the back of the lamp itself and they did this to preserve its look. You can run the chord down a leg and use a small clear zip tie to run it with out being seen. We appologize for any confusion that this may cause and thank you for shopping Overstock.com.
