Clawfoot Tub Faucet & Hardware
from OKC, OK,  Mar 18, 2008

The faucet is beautiful and looks awsome. I was surprised that it came with the drain assembly and supply lines in chrome as well. This is some great looking hardware and I would recommend it to anyone. If you don't know what you are doing it could be hard to assemble and even if you do know what you are doing it takes some time, but the results are well worth it. I will be purchasing another one for our third floor bath in the future. Great Stuff!!

Perfect
from North Carolina,  Nov 21, 2007

Normally I won't buy something that hasn't been reviewed yet, but anyone who has shopped around for fixtures on their clawfoot tub can tell you they are not cheap, so I took the chance on this. This is a quality fixture and well worth the money. It is heavy, durable, and polished to a quality luster. It comes with everything you need (including the teflon tape). My only complaint is not all of the instructions were included but anyone with basic plumbing knowledge should do just fine.

clawfoot package`
 Mar 9, 2008

This was a nice high quality set. Best priced package that I found in store and the internet. Very happy with the look. Only issue was that it did not come with all of the instructions needed. Will probably need to call into customer service.

The faucet and sower kit are high quality! I am so glad I had a plumber do the installation.I would have felt more confident if there had been a diagram or instructions.Tat was the only week link. The people at overstock were most accommodating I have one more tub to go and will be keeping my eye on overstock for the supplies!! All went well and I am quite pleased with my purchase!

Good customer service
from Spokane, WA,  Feb 29, 2012

Was sent the wrong tub faucet. Contacted customer service and they had to verify with the warehouse. Warehouse requested I e-mail a picture of the faucet I received, which I did. Once they saw that they had indeed sent the wrong faucet a new one was delivered. Great customer service though, they kept me informed of what the status was and rectified the matter quickly.

It looks and works great.
from Washington, DC,  Aug 9, 2011

It's a great looking set and well designed. The main parts (the showerheads, faucets, etc.) work wonderfully. It's so nice to have the handheld showerhead AND a separate over-the-head stationary showerhead. The handheld makes it easy to clean the tub, and you don't have to worry about trying to put the handheld device securely above-head (as some designs have you do). My only problem was with the shower ring (enclosure) for the shower curtains, and the rods that connect this part to the wall and the ceiling. First of all, the shower ring (enclosure) is rather flimzy. This is bad, especially, because this is a pretty large ring (for a good sized bathtub), so the material (and the screws) just don't seem secure enough. And the rods connecting the enclosure to the walls also are rather flimzy with not enough screws & securing devices. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase, particularly because I saw the same exact item from the manufacturer's website for twice the price I paid on Overstock. It's a great value. And once reinforced by some additional rods and parts, it works well. But, I must warn folks that you may need a handyperson to help put in some reinforcements for the enclosure & rods.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Perfectly
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality was great on the main parts (the faucets and the showerheads, etc.), but the rods that connect the shower ring enclosure to the ceiling and the walls were flimzy (not any worse than most I've seen on the market, but I just wish they were sturdier).
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? It was mostly accurate.

bad shower curtain rod
 from California,  Jun 8, 2011

We were happy with this product except for the shower curtain rod assembly. It is not sturdy and sags in the middle where the pieces connect. We have tried everything to make it more sturdy but we are unsuccessful. For the price we paid, we expected a little more. The water fixtrues are great though and they look fantastic. Like the other reviews said, there are very little instructions and you will do okay if you know basic plumbing but I would recommend having a plumber do it just to save yourself the headache (it is complicated and time consumming). Overall, I would probably buy this item again.

Excellent faucet, flimsy shower rod
from Charlotte, NC,  Sep 13, 2010

The faucet and handshower were great quality, heavy duty and included all the fittings for the drain, water supply, etc. The riser was a little flimsy as was the shower curtain rod. Also my plumber had to remove the water saver from the shower head just to get any kind of decent flow. But overall the unit looks beautiful and appears to be high quality and worth the price.

Clawfoot Tub Surround
from Boston, MA,  Aug 3, 2010

The surround came in plenty of time and had no missing parts. Our plumber hasn't yet installed it so we'll see how that goes, but I was so pleased to see every last part from tip to toe included. It was a relief to know that we wouldn't have to find an extra piece. The quality of the hardware also seemed quite good, comparable to what we'd seen at the many bathroom showplaces we looked at, but at nearly a 1/3 the cost!

What a Deal!
from Altadena, CA,  Jun 16, 2010

I've installed a claw-foot tub in another house, so I have some experience with the foibles of claw-foot plumbing. This hardware has it all! Not only does the hardware sparkle, it has a great solid quality feel to it. Having both the shower and hand held sprayer is crucial for cleaning - an oversight I was sure never to make again. We don't have great water pressure in our house, so we removed the water saver element in the shower head. And the shower head is so cute! The hot and cold handles don't have "hot" and "cold" on them, so you don't have to worry about tightening them to the "right" place. I'm thrilled with this set. OH! The photos for installing don't match the product, so hiring a plumber who is well versed at this type of hardware is crucial.

SUPER VALUE
from Niles, MI,  Aug 2, 2009

When I planned on using a vintage clawfoot tub for our new home's bathroom I never dreamed the fixtures would be so EXPENSIVE! After looking around quite a bit, both online and in stores, I wasn't sure what I was going to do but I was sure I wasn't going to drop nearly $1000 just so I could take a shower! I was a bit skeptical about buying this type of item online since you can't see the quality or finish but for the price I thought I'd take a chance. The fixture arrived super quick and was packed very well. I was very IMPRESSED when we started taking everything out of the boxes. This really is the total package (not like you see on other sites with each part and piece being extra). You get EVERYTHING you need. They even included a very heavy showerhead. The pieces are heavy and look like they will last as long as the tub.We haven't put it together yet but they even included teflon tape to get the job done....they thought of everything.THANKS!

Everything you need!
from Near Stilwell, OK,  Oct 2, 2008

This clawfoot tub package is just lovely. My husband and I were about to settle for just the shower riser, and faucet (no hand-held shower), because of the prices we'd seen on-line. I decided to check Overstock, not really believing they would have what we needed, but they DID! The hand-held is so convenient for rinsing off after a bath, or washing dogs (utilized this today with Nigel, our Boston Terrier, and Daisy, our Schnauzer). Compared to other sellers, this is a good value. I bought an antique claw foot tub, for $225, not realizing the great expense of the faucet, etc., but as it turns out, I am VERY satisfied. I used to take only showers, because I couldn't get my old tub, and enclosure clean enough, so it was not appealing. After tearing out the enclosure, and creating a more open set up, I just love taking baths. I never thought I'd be a bath person, but now I am. It was worth every dime! The faucet, shower head, and hand-held seem sturdy, and have a little weight to them, not flimsy at all. I was afraid we wouldn't have enough water pressure for the shower head (We live in the country, and use spring water). My husband did have to remove the water saving device in the riser shower head (with a pocket knife) in order to get enough water flowing to it. I'm sure this is NOT necessary for most people out there. This set-up includes the external pipes that go through the floor (overflow?), and everything needed to get things working. Unless you shell out for a special made shower curtain, you'll need to look for two extra wide ones. I bought two, standard 70 inch wide curtains, and it doesn't cover the entire circle of the shower rod. I think I saw some that were 80 something inches wide on-line. Those would probably work. I wouldn't hesitate to jump on this deal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
