These stools look amazing and look fantastic in my apartment, however the wood for the seats is a very very soft wood and has very rough edges. I've given them a light sanding and a couple of coats of poly, but I'm still afraid that they could snag someones clothes. I may have to go back and do a little more sanding. All in all still a great buy, but buyer beware that you may have to do a little work to make the seats totally usable.

I bought this to coordinate with a Williams Sonoma metal and wood kitchen island in a small condo kitchen. It takes up little floor space and is easily moved around if you put felt pads on the feet. It will tip if you are not careful when sitting on it, so a 4 legged stool is better if you are not so stable. I do not recommend this for use with children, the elderly and anyone with slow reflexes. The wood seat is a little rough mostly in appearance . it does not snag my clothing. Seat adjusts fine, no squeaking.

This stool is dangerous if you have young children and intend to use it as a stool. It has no heft at the bottom therefore is top heavy and falls over.

These are great barstools and have the rugged hnad made look we were after. The adjusting screws work as they should and the seat is comfortable - the right size.

Love the stools! I was looking for a rustic modern stool to add to my kitchen. Just be careful when you sit and your kids don't try to rock on them, they tip easily with only 3 legs. One did tip and fell on the floor and the wood did crack. Not sure of the wood quality..Other than that we love them

These are rustic looking, sturdy, and attractive adjustable barstools. We have had a difficult time finding stools that are the right height for or breakfast bar that is apparently higher than standard. These work perfectly and look great! Thank you!

I love the shape of these stools, the fact that they're different from your typical stool that has to rod connecting directly the top with the "skirt" around the stool. The stools are sturdy and easy to adjust, the top is wide and comfortable and I didn't find that the wood was too raw, as other reviewers have pointed out. Some people may choose to make it smoother, I didn't feel the need. The only issue is balance, at times - because of their triangular shape, when you put your feet up on the frame, the stool tends to topple and you immediately have to put the foot down to catch yourself. Yet they're very sturdy, not at all wobbly, it's all about the way they're centered, I think. It doesn't bother me, we've learnt how to balance well and we absolutely LOVE the look, it's perfect for our decor. The metal part is only so lightly distressed, with silver specks in the paint and the wood looks completely natural. Very happy with this purchase!

The wood is more "raw" then pictured, as others have said. It could be left as is, but we plan on using a grey stain to help further integrate it with our room designs. It's great how adjustable the heights are and it's sturdy high or low. My husband commented that he wished their were a way to "lock-in" a height, but I don't see that as being necessary. People who see our home notice and compliment them.

These stools are stunning! We bought two for a new counter area we installed in our kitchen. They are very sturdy and extremely well-made. The finish on the legs has a touch of silver to add to the distressed look, which we love, though you don't really see that in the photo here. Also, the seat is rough wood, it does not appear to be sealed. We like the look and feel of it but are curious to see how it stands up. These are beautiful and unique and I think they would go well with a variety of decor styles.

LOVED the look of these- they go in my kitchen perfectly. PROS- good looking, adjustable CONS- One of these wasn't welded right so it is a little tilted. After a month (of VERY limited use- we are not moved in the house yet) one of the tops turned up (warped) and snapped a screw. I would ask for a replacement, but when I bought, they said it was the last 2. Lastly- there are only 3 legs- which means you can topple on these VERY EASILY! Needless to say I will not be using these for wine tasting unless I want my guests (or self) on the floor. TAKEAWAY- If you live in a dry climate- beware- these will warp. Make sure to check the quality of the welds and beware of the topple factor.
