Attractive but some issues This fire pit is really nice looking (stone looks real) and we get lots of use out of it. The kids love roasting marshmallows on it and the adults love sitting around it for bonfires. The issues however are that the top cover and the inside metal piece will rust. It took less than 3 weeks for it to happen. My husband went out and bought heat resistant black spray paint and it looked like new but recently I have noticed the rust coming back so we will likely spray it again.

Design flaw It's a nice and attractive fire pit, but the metal part that's designed to contain the fire is all rusted through from rain water collecting and sitting there. 2 simple solutions could have fixed it. A solid lid or holes in the vessel.

Christopher Knight Home Corporal Square Fire Pit We were very excited to receive this and loved how it looked and fit in with decor and landscape. We used it for the first time last night to make smores for the kids. VERY disappointed that 90% of the black paint on the cover screen and fire box, bubbled up and fell off in sheets. Not only am I sanding and repainting with high heat paint after one use...but VERY concerned what type of paint was originally used that might not be to healthy for the kids smores that were cooked over the fire pit. Please make sure that the manufacturer is aware but also please make sure this is safe. Thank You

Beautiful fire pit I looked at just about every fire pit in this price range and this is beyond the most beautiful fire pit I have seen out there! It looks very expensive and looks like a built-in custom fire put on our stone patio. It seems well made and is pretty heavy! We used it the first night we received it and it was perfect. I have absolutely no complaints about this fire pit and would highly recommend it. A lot of fire pits in this price range look cheap, are poor quality and rust- I don't think you'll find a prettier fire pit out there. We will be using this all summer long!

Gorgeous! This fire pit is heavy and appears much more expensive than it was. The delivery guy even brought it out to our backyard. Ups is the absolute best in customer service! We love this item and love that it is portable somewhat . The metal top does rust some so we are looking for an elastic cover which will solve the problem. This item is less than half of do it yourself. What a treat to click a mouse and have it appear in my yard. We also put sand down and some river rock around it to formalize the space. Love it!

If you notice, another person asked before if it could be used on a wood deck and Overstock customer care said, "yes" (after checking with the support team). When you remove the metal firebox, is the inside of the firepit hollow in the middle all the way to the ground? Or does the metal box sit on a solid fiberglass & iron frame? Also, are there drain holes in the firebox and will water drain down onto my deck if I plan to place this firepit on my wood deck?

Thank you for your question, macisback. When you remove the metal firebox, the inside of the Christopher Knight Home Corporal Square Fire Pit is hollow, all the way to the ground. There are small drain holes in the firebox. We do not advise putting it on your wood deck. Have a great day.

No. It is shallow. No it does not sit on a solid fiberglass or iron frame the metal box sit in the box. It doesn't have holes to drain and it does not drain on my concrete. for your deck please elevate it with block and still put a fire mat for your safety.

It is 17" tall to the lip 22" tall to top of sreen and 28" square, the actual firepit insert is 17 or 18" square. You can easily put 4 chairs around it and set your drink on the lip. I use it with gel fuel conversion logs so can't speak to real wood, very nice looking

less then 1 hour, very simple, the hard part is unpacking it, if putting on the ground i recommend putting it on a bed of stone, looks good and allows for drainage so as not to damage the finish on the bottom sides.
