This is a pale beigey-sandy linen (= "off white") linen ottoman that looks MUCH more expensive than it is (and I am a design professional). It's perfect if you're looking for elegant storage that fits almost any type of decor. The tufts are sewn-in tufts and not buttons, which actually will last longer (buttons fall off, and cheap ones fall off QUICKLY). I was stunned to find this cutie online, and when I received it, was more pleased even more. The white one is probably white white, but this sandy color is the perfect non-white pale that goes with EVERY hue. SCORE!

This storage bench/ottoman is fantastic. I'm using it to put my daughter's toys in and hide them out of site when not in use. It looks clean and polished. A very upscale piece, and given the price a wonderful value. It has excellent build and I received it with no flaws. The mechanism to open the top is smooth and easy to use. The top stays up until you push it down. It is comfortable to sit on as well and looks great in any room. I found that it blends well into any decor. I love this ottoman so much I just purchased another one in white for the bedroom!

I love this bench. We ordered it to place at the end of our large King size bed. The bed frame is a dark, espresso color so I wanted a softer, lighter fabric for the bench. This fabric is exactly what I had in mind. It has a great texture and creates a great, designer look. I placed a couple throw pillows on it to tie in with the bedding. Friends have commented that our bedroom looks like a magazine. The storage in this bench is also quite adequate - not huge, but enough to keep some extra sheets and blankets...cleaned up some extra space in my linen closet. And the best part - this was one of the cheapest benches I could find on the internet....and I am convinced it is one of the best ones out there! Of course, Overstock's shipping is amazing - arrived very quickly and didn't cost a thing. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

Received item in damaged box and product was wet but not Overstock's fault, rather Fed Ex. The ottoman had stain on fabric on top of bench in the front that is noticable. The bench is ok but not as described. It is not made from linen fabric or anything similar to linen. The photos on site show tufted top. The top is not tufted at all. The bench I received can not be the same as pictured. Color is darker than what I would describe as sand color, more taupe.

More like twill. The picture showed tufted top. There is no tufting. Maybe I didn't receive the right item or picture was older model of ottoman and the manufacture stopped the tufting.

You get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive piece of furniture made in China. It has flaws, which all inexpensive furniture does. I chose to keep it because it was going into a guest room, not the master bedroom.

While this bench is okay, I will keep it. However, I have purchased both the black and brown leather storage benches and they are amazing. Great for sitting on in the bedrooms and for storage. This bench likewise has great storage but I don't believe it would hold up with constant sitting on or if you have pets. Material does not look like it could take many spot cleanings.

I ordered it because the dimensions seemed to fit the foot of my bed and small bedroom perfectly.. but other than that, the quality is not that great. It's not very comfy to sit on, the fabric is ok, the lining is kind of off. I'm keeping it because with pillows and throws on top of it, that hides all the imperfections. But it's definitely not as high-end as some of the reviews would lead you to believe. Just keep your expectations relatively low.

This bench is exactly the same as a bench I bought from a very high end furniture store. EXACTLY the same. I bought this same bench in white velvet from a super nice expensive furniture store for almost 3x as much to use in my living room, but I needed something that could withstand daily use and came across this. This is more rugged and much cheaper. I put the more expensive one in my bedroom, and now I don't worry about dog slobber and daily wear and tear on this one, as the material hides most of that anyway.

The ottoman arrived on time and in great condition. Use in my spare bedroom (used by grandkids) and stores all the bed linen and pillows for the trundle beds. Makes a great seat for the grandkids as well. Grandkids think it is a wonderful hide-and-seek hiding place.

I could not be happier with this product. The color is exactly what I expected. The construction seems durable. The storage is a little shallow, but works for what I wanted. I have wood floors, so I'll need to add rubber stops to the legs because it slides around very easily. Comes fully assembled, which is a bonus.

I didn't deduct any stars because of the color, since monitors are very fickle about conveying that. I liked the item so much, that I've ordered the white linen option to replace this one. Also, Overstock is about the best company in the business for facilitating returns. My prepaid label was $19, which is really fair for returning such a large item.

I'm usually pleased with Overstock merchandise, but this one was just average. The color was lighter than what you see in the picture, almost dull. The quality, is well, what you pay for. The storage space is OK- but not great. I could fit 1 comforter and some sheets. It's in my bedroom so it acts as a bench, but I could do without it. That being said, I won't be returning it. It came in a huge box, very well packed and no damages.

This trunk came very quickly and was light enough that I could carry it upstairs by myself. I wanted to use it at the base of our king bed. However, once I placed it there, it looked very short. We have a goose-down topper on our bed, which makes it a bit taller than other king beds. I really liked the linen color of this trunk, and the tufting on the top is nice too. However, I disagree that it looks "high end" as others have described. I would say it looks like a decent piece of furniture from Target (which I have in my house too). If it had been taller, I would have kept it. It was $15 to return.

I labored over the decision to purchase this ottoman. I wanted a replacement for my living room coffee table that would work as a additional seating, storage and look elegant and neutral at the same time. This piece fit the bill perfectly. When it arrived, it was exactly what I hoping for. the interior compartment is nicely lined and works great for storing blankets, pillows, seasonal decorations, photo albums, games, etc. Then, imagine my delight when I opened a recent copy of the Restoration Hardware "Small Spaces" catalog to find this EXACT SAME BENCH at more than twice the price! Every single detail was the same from the dimensions to the fabric to the tufting. I am positive they are made by the same manufacturer--this is an absolute steal!

Love this bench at the foot of our bed in the master bedroom. Have been looking a while for something to match and fit my bedroom decor style. Looks nice, yet not too formal. Storing extra bed linens in it. Love the firm cushion on top.

this looks nice but is huge with not a lot of storage. i was replacing something that was half this size but ended up holding more than this piece due to the thick top and walls. mine arrived with a small stain and a few pulled threads.
