I have this rug on my hardwood oak floor in front of my white leather couch. It looks fabulous and adds a great textured look to the room. I'd love to say this rug is top notch and worth the pricey tag but what holds me back is the craftsmanship. Many of the strips have some type of white sticker that was not removed before the strips were cut. Sometimes this white sticker shows up as the lay of the piling is scattered. I've had to sit and try to peel this stuff off and it isn't an easy task. Not sure how to keep it clean. May not survive the vacuum cleaner as some strips come off easily. Good luck with your decision. I first bought the tan leather and changed to chocolate. The darker color is much more classy looking.

This rug grounded the room and is quite an eye catcher. Hint........... use a PLASTIC rake to fluff it. I would buy it again

I absolutely love this rug! I didn't notice a bad smell just a slight leather smell which I liked. I don't have the rug in a high traffic area (it's under a coffee table in a sitting room) so I'm not worried about wear and tear. The deep color and texture completes the room and gives it a rich feel. It's soft to walk on and I get so many compliments. If you want something unique and awesome that will make your friends jealous definately get this rug!

This is a cool rug, and I do really like it. It's definitely a style you'd see in a display in a more modern furniture store.That said, you really need to think about your lifestyle before you buy. It is not easy to clean but it easily gets little pieces of dirt, dust, crumbs or anything else that might get tracked or dropped trapped in the rug. So, if you have kids or pets, this is probably not the rug for you. If you don't, then you'd probably be happy with it. Also, when you first roll the rug out, it has a very strong odor -- like gasoline -- but that goes away...

I expected this rug to be a soft pile shag rug. It has long strings of leather and synthetic string mix. Ugly is the best words to describe. Don't see how anyone could vacuum this rug without getting it tangled in the vacuum head.

At first the rug smells something fierce but give it a few days to air out and it does not have a smell at all. On a couple pieces of the shag they are missing color but not many at all just like one or two really and you can just lay it back over so as not to see that side. I was pleased for the most part. It was darker than I realized to...I thought it would have more of a milk chocolate look not a dark chocolate look...but that was prob my bad.

My husband and I had been looking locally for this particular rug in this specific color with no avail, so we decided to search online. I really wanted it before the Christmas holiday and Overstock had a great price and they were the only one who promised to have it shipped by Christmas Eve....AND THEY DID!!! The rug looks great and it's exactly what we wanted!
