Has the fabric been treated with any chemicals (ie flame retardants)?

These drapes are well made and panels are consistent in size, unlike cheaper, inferior products. The color is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. A nice medium gray. Not too dark and not too light. Various mounting options supported and loops are provided if you choose to attach them to a track, however only 1 of my 2 panels arrived with these loops. I chose to mount my drapes to a rod with curtain hooks which clipped to the back tabs. My only complaint is these drapes don't feel or look like velvet. They lack the plush texture I was expecting and are more along the lines of a microfiber. I was pleased these drapes did not require ironing before hanging. They look great and add a level of modern sophistication to the room.Read More

If you are more interested in decoration and only need to block minimal light, then a valance over sheer curtains is a good choice.
